UK Designer Jenny Wilkinson opened the doors of her design studio in 2003 and is best known for her wallpaper by numbers series. Interactive wallpaper leaving you responsible for ‘filling in the blanks’.

This wallpaper inspired me today because I think that in many ways, most of our careers are like this. I mean, none of us can say we are the ‘first’ artist or the ‘first’ blogger or writer or zookeeper. We are but a speck on the map. We were provided with an outline from those that lived before us or even who walk next to us now, and with that, it is up to us to fill in all the colors and create a look that is as unique as our fingerprint. Just like this wallpaper. Life is a lot like this, fill in the blanks and create your own special masterpiece.
What do you think?

I love the idea of having the ability to create an original version on my walls (or yours if you ask me over for tea and a painting session!). I think this would also be really fun in a childs room, not that you want to encourage writing on the walls, but this certainly does cultivate originality, and you aren’t limited to only coloring in the lines! Fun for a studio space or maybe as an accent in a great huge wall unit . . . can we begin renovation now please!
