SoWa Art Walk + South End Open Market: Boston May 20-21
Designer Fernanda Bourlot, from the fabulous Boston design studio simplemente blanco, wrote to me about the SoWa Art Walk. Mark your calendars because you won't want to miss it! This year, it will occur on Saturday and Sunday May 20-21 from 11:00am to 6:00pm. Stores, cafes, boutiques and some of the city?s finest restaurants take part in the SoWa Art Walk by opening their doors all weekend, hosting artists who display on their walls and offering special event discounts. You have to visit Fernanda's studio, you may have read about her in Daily Candy recently. Her studio creates textiles and objects for the home and offers interior design services.
If you're a movie buff, the SoWa Art Walk will also feature their very first film festival, running all weekend, featuring the work of local and international cinema artists. Click here for more information.
While you're in the South End on May 20-21, make sure you head over to the grand opening weekend of the South End Open Market. I recently did some work for them surrounding this event, and all I can say is, it's going to be a blast! Mingle with the locals, grab some yummy bites, browse 180 booths from local indie designers... Between the SoWa Art Walk and the South End Open Market, Boston will keep you hoppin' next weekend. Bring your wallet, some good walking shoes, and lots of sunshine and clear skies!
