Sometimes it’s good to be bold. Here’s a print from Amenity at Design Public that’s sure to make a statement in your nest. I like seeing oversized art in the home, especially good for those renting since you’re sometimes stuck with lots of white walls and let’s face it, you’re dying to slap some paint on them. A large bold print will add a splash of color and give your room a focal point.

Since we were all dishing about Domino when it first hit newstands (okay, we still are) let’s now dissect Blueprint. What features did you like? Dislike? Overall opinion? Finally, your thoughts on the spread featuring rustic chic decor? I’d like to see these knotty lamps with funky mod shades and a slimmer wood base, so I’m feelin’ bits of this trend. It’s cute in that charming kitschy kind of way. Just don’t introduce the whole deer-head-on-the-wall and I can hang. Honestly though, I don’t know if I could rock it in my crib… What about you? Charming or cringe-worthy?

Junk in the trunk! Another Blueprint find, this great cedar trunk, available with or without wheels. I’d actually like to beef this baby up a little bit with some industrial style polyurethane wheels (duralast in red is an option) with fancy-schmancy metal casters. Then, using a sheet of my favorite wrapping paper (something with a clean modern design, perhaps the norsa?) paste it to the top and add a sheet of clear glass to protect the paper. I think this would make a great coffee table as well as an excellent place to store files or blankets. What do you think? Available at Trunk Outlet for under $150!
