See Jane Work: New Favorites!

Just say no to a boring, stuffy work environment! Here are a few of my new favorites from See Jane Work. A cat and dog staple free stapler, a 2007 snow + graham desk calendar (love!), scented erasers (just like grade school!), a nifty whomi compact agenda, and a kate spade desk calendar.

Remember… Just because you’re at work doesn’t mean you can’t play a little bit. Have fun!

Etsy Find: The Beautiful Project (Canada)

There’s a totally cool graphic designer (and foodie! see her blog) based out of Vancouver that I think you’ll really dig. I’m not sure what her name is, but her Etsy shop is called The Beautiful Project and like most of us, this creative girl is inspired by girlish pretty things – vintage notions, children’s books, textiles… I love the card with the two cutie snakes on it, “I tingle when we mingle”.

I liked her food blog bio: “This is the blog of a 30-something, food-obsessed designer living in Vancouver, BC. She writes, draws, cooks and crafts and loves to ride her bicycle around town. She believes that there are a few still undiscovered passions that await. Her fingers are crossed.”

Tip: She’ll combine shipping for multiple purchases and she offers custom work, too.

Sophie Cook (London)

Breathing contemporary life into a traditional craft, Sophie Cook throws porcelin vessels that you’ll crave to collect and display in your home. Some are glazed, others not, but all are gracious, fluid, luminous and in the most gorgeous hues ever. A graduate of the Camberwell College of Arts in London, you can find her work in museum collections and in fine stores worldwide. Georgio Armani and Elton John are fans. Now it’s your turn…

Psst: For stores in America, click here.

Feinedinge: Sandra Haischberger (Austria)

Just look at these beauties! I’m sure this already made it around the blog circuit (or hopefully will – the more exposure these talented artists get, the better!), I have to highlight young product designer Sandra Haischberger of Feinedinge today for one simple reason: D-R-O-O-L.

Sandra is inspired by motifs from the past, particularly ones from old textiles, and then develops patterns for her porcelin wares that are truly stunning. Her work is enchanting, young, and most of all fresh. I recently spotted some of her wares in the home of a friend and had to know more about them. They’re much more impressive in person than in photos, so if you purchase a piece, prepare to fall in love.

In the states, you can find some of the Feinedinge collection at the lovely online boutique Peek Keep.
