Young and Withit is a husband and wife team from Austin and they create these fun cards that are mostly hand screen printed using a print gocco. Gotta love a family business, especially one that seems to love Gnomes. Mad props to indie couples!

I really love these original hand carved block prints from Etsy seller Mayberry Sparrow. The Swedish horse notecards are my favorite (in blue, although other colors are available), I’d love to see this print on a tea towel, wouldn’t you? Mayberry Sparrow also does custom work, as she says, “I’m always happy to carve another stamp!”.
In addition to stationery, I even spotted some pretty handmade blankets. Mayberry Sparrow has a dash of whimsy to their work that I really like, it’s colorful and just makes me smile. In the end, isn’t that why we are so drawn to design of all kinds, because it just makes us feel good?

I love the look of Rainy Prints, who create these really nice hand-pressed linoleum cuts. So affordable, too. See the process to printmaking here on the Rainy blog. I love this blog – a teaching blog. I’d love to find more blogs that explain a process, like how to sew, reupholster furniture, how to get started on a letterpress, textile design, etc. I know they would be very time consuming, and most small business owners do not have the time to blog about their work in addition to create, market, ship, deal with customers, present at shows, etc. That’s why a blog like Rainy Prints is so unique and special to me. Do you know of any process oriented blogs on said topics?

Fourteen Sisters Letterpress is another Etsy favorite. So pretty! Simple yet classy, letterpress is so addictive, don’t you think?

I can’t resist posting more Etsy finds…Next up is Yael Frankel of Buenos Aires, Argentina who crafts all sorts of beautiful things… I really love handmade gifts, especially ones from another country. Is it me, or do you not dream of strolling the streets of Buenos Aires?
Off topic I know, but do you have any travel plans coming up? Care to tell us about them and what you plan to do?

Frazier + Wing creates modern things with a quirky appeal, using the finest materials, and with a store due to launch online in early ’07, this Etsy seller is one to watch! I don’t know about you, but her innovative use of magazine pages to create a stunning mobile is beyond perfect in my eyes. I love this!
