Looking for something creative to do today? Check out the Paper Source How To Videos. You can watch them online and the instructor is darling, she’s like the art teacher that everyone loved from school or something. I love her laid back charm – she makes everything look so easy.

I really enjoyed the flower kit video because I have most of the supplies already, so this would be an easy and inexpensive project for me. I’m thinking these flowers would be adorable for a Spring ladies tea party, you could make mini flowers, tie them on ribbons, and wrap them around linen napkins, placing one on each plate. You could also create some pretty flower garlands to string around the backs of chairs or over the windows.
Paper Source has dozens of free instructional videos online – so enjoy!
Boston locals: Paper Source is located in Brookline, Boston, Cambridge, and Wellesley. They have fun workshops in their store locations. The Polaroid Transfer class on February 18th interests me…

Oh no Holly, are you sick?? If so, I hope you feel better soon!
Is Rooms I Heart on Flickr gone? I was going to scan through this morning and couldn’t find it.

i’ve used the PaperSource videos to make a book… they’re really helpful considering the stores in boston and cambridge are always so busy you can’t always hunt down a sales person to walk you through the process step by step

did the rooms i heart flickr end?

connie, i agree – they are swamped a lot, but have you ever tried going in the afternoon during the week, on a lunch break, or weeknights? It’s a lot calmer in there… Especially the one on Boylston. I found that the weekends in Cambridge is the absolute worse time – all the brides and graphic designers looking at stationery for weddings, etc. it’s insanity!!

janet/ines: yes – write to me offline and i’ll explain.
i’m glad you liked the ps videos, i appreciated that they put them online for free viewing since most of these are also offered as workshops in their stores that you have to pay for. i love learning something new from home, especially since I can work along with the video and pause when i need to.

Holly, That’s Sue Lindstrom hosting those videos. She is the founder of Paper Source, and it was Sue herself who used to buy our (Rag & Bone) books for the stores back in the day. This was back when there were only three or four stores, when she had just opened the one in Central Square. Sue is just great, and it’s so funny that she is hosting the videos. Is there anything she doesn’t do? Thanks for the post, I didn’t know about the videos! Jason

Everyone I’ve talked to that worked for Paper Source has nothing but bad things to say about management. Knowing what they used to be versus what they are now, I’ve definitely been avoiding them for a while now. They do their best to fire or mistreat their most creative employees.

I think that’s ridiculous.

Paper Source is Awesome !

JW is so right about the bad management at Paper Source. There was even a big march on the Chicago branch to protest the unethical treatment of the warehouse workers, but nothing much changed. The good news is that Sue Lindstrom and her partner Jim York just sold the company! Now maybe PaperSource will finally change for the better.
