Inspiration Saturday

Inspiration can come from anywhere. Usually the least likely objects, places, events, people, sounds, smells, etc. make me feel the most creative, energetic, and passionate. From gorgeously decorative cupcakes to amusement parks rides, here are some images that I’m hoping will stimulate your creativity today. Enjoy!

(images starting at top: lovely ride from Altweibersommer, aqua bowl from Target photographed by Twelve22, low rod from ShawnWall,“Jimbo” by Queen Things, terrific living room color and neat idea for a mantel (a shelf!) by Crafty Beaver, faded web by Melissa, santos hands by Red Shoes LLC, meet boOo… spo0ky!, the girl who paints amazing wall murals, cool ceiling in a nursery from Better Homes + Gardens, and cupcakes from an Amy Sedaris recipe by Crafty Beaver.

If it’s more inspiration you seek, you simply must browse the galleries of the wonderful German photographer, Jann Peters.

How lovely! Thank you for the inspiration.

    It’s so cool . . . I spotted Jenny’s as a Queenthings image right away. :-)

These are inspiring to look at! And that wall mural. GORGEOUS! Hmmm, I hope the rest of that apartment gets an upgrade to match :)

Oooo! Love the colors! That soft greyed-blue-green hue has been my favorite for a loooooong time. I’m glad people are starting to use it more.

Hi twisted knitter, jess and ellen!
happy to see you ladies commenting here – i’m glad you found some inspiration in these photos.

i think that’s one HUGE thing i’ve gained since i started blogging, new appreciation for the (seemingly) mundane.

i look at my dish water differently thanks to jon (happy mundane blog) and i look at baked goods and frosting designs and even the ripples in sand or on water… i’ve found so much more joy in my own life because of stopping to admire little details.

thanks to flickr and the abundance of creative types out there blogging, it’s been a great awakening for me. so thankful for this.

i am glad to share some things i find joy in. i’m happy you liked them!

LOVE the mural ( as said above)…I can’t even remember how I found your blog, but am greatly enjoying it, and definitely finding inspiration here (I’m a muralist). I really love your writing style and all of the juicy images strewn throughout your blog! Keep up the wonderful work…
    Cheers, sara
