Dining By Design: Viking by Barry Rice and Ted Allen

Sponsored by the Viking Range Corporation and designed by Barry Rice with his partner in business and life, Ted Allen (from Queer Eye). With special thanks to Bottega del Vino Crystal, David Beahm Design, Global Table, Interface FLOR, Shimmerscreen, and Wud Furniture. Love the upscale, contemporary decor of their Dining By Design tabletop. The furniture and lighting are to die for for. Drool!

Here’s Barry Rice with Ted Allen

This is Corey Springer (founder of Brooklyn-based Wud Furniture) and Keren Gorni, who not only manages his Wud marketing and PR, but she is engaged to marry Corey in 3 short weeks. They’ve been together since they were teenagers – how cute is that?!?

This post wraps up our mini tour of DIFFA’s Dining By Design event in NYC this past weekend, I hope you enjoyed it. See you Tuesday!

I need to know about those lights. Are they candles? Help me! :)

The hanging lights were white votive candles, a beautiful glow.

A definite wow factor with the lights, square table and the beaded drapes. So perfect for entertaining. You did a remarkable job, Holly, on reporting on Dining by Design. Make me wish to skip a ski week end and go to New York to see it next time.

I was just wondering the same thing about the lights, they are fabulous! It’s such a beautiful arrangement of the lights, the beads, the simple furniture, the green – definitely my favorite. And how cute is that couple?

I love this event. Anytime I get a chance to do just what I want is a dream come true. Am I envious of these designers? YES! This table looks great. I love the lighting. Sigh. Maybe one day.

The hanging baubles are from CB2 (a division of Crate & Barrel) in Chicago–you can mail-order them. They’re really beautiful. They also cost about four bucks. And then you fill them with cheapo votives. They’re awesome.

Great dining table. I love the bench on the end. The lighting really makes it all come together.
How did you hang the tealight holders? Is that fishing wire? It’s a great modern chandelier look.

This is beautiful. The lights are wonderful.
