Artsy Walls: Emily from Orange Beautiful

More clever displays to share, this time it’s the space of the OTHER half of the Orange Beautiful blog, Laura’s partner in crime, Emily. I blogged about Laura’s walls yesterday, so it’s Emily’s turn today — and it’s only fair because Orange Beautiful is a collaborative blog. Isn’t this a great arrangement? (click to enlarge)

“This art wall includes, among other things, screen-printed band posters (purchased at last year’s Intonation Festival); pen&ink drawings and digital prints by Jw; a beautiful Polaroid transfer piece by my lovely friend, B; a watercolor of a crane that I did when I was 15; woodblock prints by Lys(Beth) of hundredsofsparrows fame; and a colored pencil drawing I did in high school, based off of the stained glass window in the front door of Mr. Belvidere’s house… That’s right: the TV show.” - Emily

Bob!!! I can’t believe I see a Braid poster. That brings me back to my college years.

    What a fun arrangement!

The picture wall is so bright and cheerful, I just love it! I wondered how you framed the band poster though? I recently bought a screenprinted poster that looks like it has the same shape as yours does. Did you have it custom framed, or could you point me in the direction of a suitable frame? Thanks much!

snow –> the two band posters were custom framed - but you’d be surprised how inexpensive it can be, especially, if you avoid thicker metal or wooden frame options… both of the poster frames were just colored plastic, so most of the cost was in the framing service, rather than the materials!
