Artsy Walls: Bethany from Pink Glue

April 21, 2007

More walls from real people out there. This time, it’s Bethany from Pink Glue sharing her living room with us from her brand new, first apartment. How cool is that? I’m so proud of her, congrats on the new place, Bethany! Thanks for sharing it with all of of us.

Artsy Walls: Bethany from Pink Glue“Here are pictures of the walls of my living room, the first picture is my real “art wall”. It’s definitely a work in progress, like I said — I just moved in about a month ago. In fact, I’ve already added a new piece since the picture was taken.” – Bethany

Artsy Walls: Gretchen from Said Alice

April 21, 2007

More paint-by-numbers fun from Gretchen E. over at Said Alice, along with some antlers, a pup, and some sweet shelving. You can also take a complete home tour here on flickr. I love the pics she sent in to share with decor8 readers below. Check these out. Fun. Thanks, Gretchen. :)

Artsy Walls: Gretchen from Said Alice“I noticed the post with the paint-by-numbers and wanted to share mine. I took all of mine OUT of the old frames because they were terribly tacky — and not in a good way.” – Gretchen

Country Home Inspiration

April 20, 2007

I have to share a terrific resource with you for rugs called Capel, in case you’re on the hunt… It’s a great one to add to your bookmarks. I’m really crazy about these stitch patterns (blame it on Missoni), so of course the Irish Stitch rug below caught my eye.

Country Home InspirationThe Irish Stitch rug just so happens to be on page 114 in the May ’07 issue of Country Home magazine in the article, The Amazing Small Space Makeover, featuring a beautiful Minneapolis urban apartment — All 750 sq ft of it! I think the homeowners, Kim Cornelison (you must view her photography portfolio online, a-m-a-z-i-n-g) and Alfie Ferreyra, did such an amazing job on their condo. Here’s a glimpse of Kim’s portfolio. You’ll love her website. Drool.

Country Home Inspiration
You have to pick up the issue and check out the Kim/Alfie condo for yourself – their space is a mix of country and modern, and the wallpaper in both the entryway and bedroom is to die for. The entry uses Silvergate BP846 from Farrow & Ball, and their bedroom has the gorgeous sunny yellow Ringwold BP1632 pattern. I’ve emailed Kim to see if she’d be so kind as to tour us of her space here on the blog, so let’s see if she replies. That would be fun, you’d love it, promise!

Psst: If you live outside of the US, this eBay seller will ship her copy almost anywhere in the world.

Artsy Walls By Kayte Terry

April 20, 2007

Kayte from the Love Forever blog wants to share her budding collection of paint-by-numbers in her living room. Is this fun, or what?

Artsy Walls By Kayte Terry“It’s a work in progress, but the goal is to have the paint-by-numbers all built up on the far side of the wall so it looks like a big explosion. I thought it would be a cool way to hang art so the art is valued more for the collective installation over the single piece. I love repetitions of things!” – Kayte
