Stationery at Neiman Marcus

More love for Neiman Marcus today. Have you browsed their stationery lately? A hand-written note means so much, so if you have someone you’ve been meaning to contact, try writing your words of thanks or affection – email isn’t the best way to wish someone a happy anniversary or to thank them for something special. There’s more to life than email! :) Yes, really!

Missoni Home at Neiman Marcus

Color, color, color! Bold Missoni takes fashion to another level constantly, so why not the home? And with the stitch pattern being as fabulous as it is, how can you resist?

Neiman Marcus carries the Missoni collection, and although some of it is way out of my reach, the bedding is somewhat affordable, especially if you layer pieces in with budget finds from other stores. You can dress a bed using mostly finds elsewhere that are inexpensive, add a few Missoni shams and a throw at the foot of the bed, and you’ve given your bedroom a fashion makeover without purchasing 100% from this collection.

I do have one question though. Why are their candles priced between $275-375? Am I missing something here?

Horchow

Lulu de Kwiatkowski was mentioned here before, but it was only recently that I discovered her bedding over at Horchow. I imagine the Paradiso (shown below) against a sunny yellow wall… Cane + bamboo patterns are everywhere right now, and I love seeing them. From furniture to textiles, cane is h-o-t!

Horchow has bird panels with a faux-bamboo trim that I love (bird panels are another trend piece right now), this hand-painted umbrella stand with a bamboo motif brass base, a very grown up mirrored chest (would look so pretty in an entryway), and with the rise of peacocks as a motif, why not shake your tailfeathers and try splurging on this settee? I agree, this settee isn’t for me either — but you have to laugh at luxury sometimes because it can look so uncomfortable!

Parker Palm Springs: California Dreamin’

I keep hearing about the Parker Palm Springs, so I had to do a little research and now, share this fantastic escape with you. Located in Palm Springs, California, everything about this place is exquisite (tour the property here). I dream of spending a gorgeous getaway at the Parker, as everything about it screams luxury, celebrity, the good life… Or shall I say everything about it whispers, as it seems like a peaceful spot to unwind, order a fancy pants cocktail (poolside, of course), and slip away from the rest of the world in your own personal cocoon of pleasure.

If you think it has a bit of a Jonathan Adler vibe going on, you’re right. He designed most of the interiors at this little piece of swank heaven (listen to a series of podcasts with Jonathan and Simon Doonan here – they talk about this place exclusively, the inspiration, etc.). I especially love the Moroccan wedding quilt at the food of the bed shown below. I’m still on the hunt for one, if you can help me…

Wouldn’t you love a weekend away at the Parker?
