Mood Board Contest: Urban Sophisticate by Michele DeVous
I’ll post as many entries as I can fit in today, and then that’s it, the contest will wrap up and tomorrow we’ll all get to vote for our new winners. Yeah!
Name: Michele DeVous
Occupation: Homemaker, Grandmother (a young one!), collage artist.
Location: St. Louis, Missouri
Theme: Urban Sophisticate: Black and White and Red all over
Inspiration: Downtown lofts are revitalizing cities all over the country and young sophisticates are flocking to them. “Black and White and Red all over” is meant to reflect the urban: environment–geometrics, black buildings punctuated with neon signs, nature with a stylized perspective. The new urban dwellers are successful, well-traveled, investors, business people, collectors of unique travel finds with an eclectic mix: Eames print, antique kitchen linens, Art Deco salt and pepper shakers, American folk art and Chinese antiques. The open loft flows from one living area to another; one palette carried throughout the space–black, white and red all over.
Thank you for entering the decor8/Amy Butler mood board contest, Michele!
