Urban Outfitters Chairs ‘n Such

Kiley from Urban Outfitters mailed their new catalog and images to me for sharing with decor8 readers today. I can’t believe we’re already looking at Fall clothes and velvet chairs, but with the end of July fast approaching, Autumn isn’t that far off in the distance. That’s fine with me though, because there’s nothing better than a cozy cardigan and patterned tights anyway. Of course, a pretty outfit is nice, but a comfy and stylish chair for reading is total heaven. Like this one in a pretty fern print for $380. Did you know that it’s also available in a beige/white print called King Bird and that Urban’s offers fabric swatches for free upon request? Very cool, huh?

Check out that triptych art. Does anyone know about the artist, Lee May? Doesn’t ring a bell for me, so clue me in if you know.

I like these chairs, and really enjoyed seeing this one in a room vs. just a product shot, plus I think the pattern and color is just great. I’d love to see this pattern replace the velvet on their slipper chair, that would be just so darling!

Is it me, or is something wrong with this image because some of these plates look strange to me – broken or something? In any case, here’s a glimpse of them close up below.

Thanks Kiley for the sweet product shots. You can view all of these items above right here, currently up for grabs on their website.

The plates DO look broken, and what’s more, in the bottom image the lampshade seems to be only half there….weird!

The same spots on the plates that look broken are covered up by the 3rd plate in the 2nd shot! Weird.

oh my goodness emmckim, you’re right, i missed that. And leyre, I didn’t even catch that half of the lampshade is missing. too funny. it’s like a ‘what’s wrong with this picture’ post, ala highlights for children. :)

dont the plates connect together? like the ones you use for appetizers? instead of broken, i think half of the plate is missing so they fit together?

as for the lampshade, i’ve have no idea!

as someone who does retouching for a living, this is a really *bad* retouching job. they separated the plates where they overlapped, but then didn’t clone in more plate. hasty, hasty! :)

nice post though – welcome back holly!

I really like the green print and chair. I guess any store that’s related to Anthropologie can’t help but have some serious style!

Love UO stuff. Closest I get to it is infrequent trips to London/drooling over the website. Recently my husband went to NY for work so I sent him with my shopping list including some CSA plates I’d seen on the UO site… needless to say they ‘hadn’t got them in stock yet’. Was so dissapointed. Love the hot pink squirrel!
