I just realized that I haven’t mentioned Repro Depot in a really long time so I thought I’d show you a few of the fabrics on their website that would be fun for a crafty project (or two!) on those rainy summer days – which we’ve been having too many of lately!
The colorful Dainty Garden print and the linen/cotton blend animal pattern called Follow the Leader, both imported from Japan. Or if you’re looking for something a bit more grown up with a folksy or country feel, try Heather’s meadow, Aunt Grace, or the blooming abstract honeysuckle. Can one ever tire of red and yellow? No!

Beautiful prints from Swallowfield today (thanks for the update, Jen!) that reflect her life on the Maine coast so well, don’t you think? I love the first one shown of the mussels sold in a limited edition of only 20 (10 left!) for $18, so hurry if you like it. I never tire of blue tones and illustrated works of things found at sea, so this print is one that I really like. I also like the background of swirls and objects that almost look like tiny shells…

It’s always fun to pull together a little wish list and today, I thought I’d show you a mini glimpse of mine and some of the things that I’m into lately. Good news: Some of these finds are under $50 so I’ll include the price for those in case you are trying to find a gift for a friend. Top on my gift list right now is this yellow Kate Spade clock.
Kate Spade Perry Street clock $40 in yellow (can their be a cuter bedside companion?), Kate Spade striped notepad for $12 – every page is striped to match the cover. Preppy meets Fruit Stripe gum! Pillows in blue from Orla Kiely, Paris knobs in blue from Anthropologie $8 and the Coqo floral rug 5×7 in yellow, Jonathan Adler stuff: Big Sur turquoise pillow and the giraffe lamp (I gave one to a friend but I still want one for myself. This craving has been since March ’06 so I think I may just break down and go for it.) I wish we had a good store in Boston that carried lots of Adler stuff). Vidalia vase from Anthropologie $38 and Mina placemats/tablecloth in ochre. I also really like the PB Teen task light (in white or navy for me).
What items have you been craving lately? Care to share?
I have to share Casch of Denmark with you today. I felt excited when I unwrapped my new Fall coat from Anthropologie today and find that it was designed by Casch. Here are some images from their collections, imagine turning these outfits into rooms?
I can see it now. A living room with a chair upholstered in cream with a golden ring pattern (like the jacket shown above), and lots of texture and details everywhere, like embroidered and beaded art in wooden frames and a capiz shell chandelier (or this citron light). Pale blue glass jars filled with shells and pebbles, a cable knit throw, linen curtains… Wait. I just thought of a post from April showing rooms from Zara Home. Remember? A look that is not too far off from what I imagine… Here are the rooms.
