West Elm Curtains

I'm seeing lots of linen lately, have you noticed? Seems to be the "it" fabric for Fall. It's the perfect option for someone like me who isn't too keen on heavy textiles on windows, I'm a bit on the casual side when it comes to window treatments.

I prefer light cottons, silks, and linens over anything else. Living in northern New England where winters are really long and gray, I can't imagine layering fabrics on my window because I'd miss my chance at enjoying the little sunlight we have. So I stick with my bamboo blinds and cotton or linen panels on each side. No frills.

I know for practical purposes, velvets and other heavier fabrics are great for the cold months, as your heat bill is much lower -- but I'd rather pay more for heat to see a glimpse of sunlight which is why I'll stick to keeping my window treatments simple. Plus, I really love natural fibers. These new drapes from West Elm are gorgeous, along with their other two-tone linen curtains, and very affordable for Fall.
