decor8 Discounts: Volksfaden -25%

The next sponsor to participate in our week of discounts is Volksfaden, a darling little web shop based in Berlin. What makes them so special is that they carry lots of fabric designed by American companies like Amy Butler, Robert Kaufman, and Free Spirit and even gorgeous fabric from Japan — in Germany that’s special because it’s pretty rare to walk into a fabric store and find these textiles. Then again, it’s rare to find them here in New Hampshire – that’s why Volksfaden is good for us all!

If you’ve been procrastinating on some sewing projects, procrastinate no more! Volksfaden is offering decor8 readers a 25% discount on all fabrics and sewing patterns offered on their website. Pretty fabric motivates! Please type in decor8 in the code box when you check out to receive the discount. This offer expires at midnight on November 23, 2007 and they ship worldwide! Tip: They cut their fabric by the meter (or half meter) vs. yards, so you’re actually getting more fabric because 1 meter equals 1.094 yards.

A few of my favorites: Chestnut Branch (great for a roman shade or a reverse side of a patterned pillow), Yui Kokeshi Wasabi (just because it’s cute), Wallflower Mustard (classic Amy!), Lotus Pond Pink, Patsy Pink (oh la la), and pretty much ANYTHING from the Mod Girls collection.

Psst: She carries Japanese fabric here and here, too.

Thank you, Linda!

    Holly,
Unfortunately, this discount doesn’t help us in the US. For example, the dollar makes that Amy Butler Wallflower fabric cost $18 after their discount when I can find it here for only $9.50.

That’s true (for Americans) with our currency being worth so little right now. But for all the European readers using Euros (esp. the British with their Pound Sterling) this actually works out quite well for them because then it’s a really good value.

Just so you know, I’m trying to list discounts that are good for non-US readers as well since last year I felt really bad that most of my discounts applied to only US/CAN readers since the companies I featured wouldn’t ship outside of N.America. I want to be fair since this blog has int’l readership now.
