Twig – Save 20% {includes new Orla Kiely}

When Elizabeth wrote in today telling me about the colorful new Orla Kiely items in stock, I decided that we’d have a little round two discount for everyone since her earlier discount has now expired. This time, you can shop Twig and take 20% off by entering decor8 upon checkout. So if you are dying to own something from Orla’s new collection, then this is THE time to jump on this sale.

Items are selling out very quickly. I love the Orla sling and at 20% off, the price is lowered to $142 and some change. Try that on the Orla website! They charge nearly $100 USD dollars just to ship things to the states from the UK, so it’s clear why Twig is such a great find for Orla fans out there.

You can enjoy this discount on everything over at Twig, including Orla’s goodies, until December 13th. Have fun!

Photobird {pretty new things}

It’s always exciting to watch a collection of pretty things that you admire expand a bit. Seems like Photobird is stretching her wings and developing a beautiful product line to extend beyond photos and postcards.

She has crochet coasters in her winter shop, gift tags, and lovely notebooks to pop into your handbag for jotting down little notes to self or for passing love letters across the table at a cafe. These things are so pretty and have an almost Scandinavian feel to me… Someone really needs to purchase the coasters. I think she only has one set left. You can frame them they are so lovely.

Painter Jacqueline Myers-Cho {JMC Designs}

My beautiful painting arrived today from Jacqueline Myers-Cho, an artist that I bumped into on Etsy recently and haven’t been able to break away from checking her site daily for updates. When I found “Stable” I instantly knew I had to adopt her. Gorgeous.

“Stable” by Jacqueline Myers-Cho

It brings me to a very peaceful and calm spot. There’s something about her gaze, those colors, the texture – it’s a deeply personal connection that one makes with a particular piece – a connection that is hard to put into words. It goes beyond “I like it”, but since emotion is often hard to put into language, and since this is a blog where you are reading my words, I’ll just leave it at this: I like it. And if you do to, there’s more beauty over at JMC Designs. Plus, if you purchase anything in her store right now, she’ll take 25% off the total price. So you can walk away with an original painting for under $50. Imagine that.

If you’d like to learn more about painter Jacqueline Myers-Cho, visit her website and read through all the great information she has posted there. She’s been painting for over 20 years and really seems to love it. Imagine a life of painting, how special is that?
