PointClickHome just posted a slideshow with lots of purple finds, including some of their favorite paint colors by Benjamin Moore. They didn’t highlight Passion Plum 2073-30 but I have to add that to the list because it’s a deep hue that is so rich and delicious…
I really like this cane coat stand from Red Egg – the materials and design anyway. I can’t say I like it in this color because it’s a bit too Golden Girls for me — I’d paint it bright red, crisp white, tulip yellow, or black. I’d also love to reupholster that chair in perhaps that Duralee animal print and paint the frame white. Or reupholster it in some red and white geometric print and lacquer the frame in black. I know, I know, the whole point of this post is to highlight purple finds but I can’t help myself since I love to alter things, editing is in my blood. The Tokyo Dahlia wallpaper is lovely, it’s from the Oriental Garden collection over at Designers Guild.

I am really loving purple these days! Though, admittedly, I am more of the deep, royal purple persuasion. It’s pretty darn luscious! :)

Good stuff, Holly. You know I am a huge purple devotee, so I love when you feature the color…

OMG, this is my favourite colour ever! I’m doing my bedroom in purple and found a pair of fantastic purple blown glass lamps with flocked damask shades that I blogged about a couple days ago! :)

Great post Holly! I am doing my office in purple/lavender/gray and having the toughest time finding a lavender rug. Does anyone have some sources? The Weinrib rugs are just too expensive…thanks!

i usually hate purple – like a TRUE purple – but i am SO drawn to this lilac/lavender color right now. maybe because it builds on the many shades of grey that are so popular right now? either way… great little post. i’d love to see more lavender finds!

I have a soft soft for purple (the darker plum shade) because it was the color that we used for our wedding decor paired with chocolate brown. So I decided since we have dark brown bedroom furniture to infuse purple into it. The only problem is that there are very few cool fabric choices using purple, especially for the bedroom…If anyone has any sources, please post them:)

Hee hee, love the “golden girls” comment.
I can’t stand purple, but am oddly finding myself drawn to it when making colourway choices at the moment. I’m starting to find that there’s a lot more to the colour than lavender…
