James Merrell {Photographer}

May 5, 2008

James Merrell, who is represented by Judith Miller Inc., is an amazing London-based photographer that you already know without even knowing. How do you know Merrell? His work has appeared all over, I instantly recognized it the moment I scanned his online portfolio — it’s been viewed in the pages of Anthropologie and Brocade Home catalogs, Elle Decor, LivingEtc, Target, you name it. The man is genius.

Most don’t bother to pay attention to image credits in books and magazines but I encourage everyone to do so because the imagery we see is such a huge draw to why we embrace certain publications and without them, we’d all be lost.

I was reading a book over the weekend, Life’s Little Pleasures: A Perfect Day (also our book of the week) and noticed his name in the photography credits and decided to look him up. So glad I did.
