Domestic Construction {lighting}

I’m so excited to share some rather unique lighting with you this morning from Domestic Construction in Brooklyn who just launched their new store on Etsy yesterday! It’s fully stocked with dozens of darling upside down tea and coffee cup pendants so go ahead, have a spot{light} of tea.

These are so sweet, they have that northern European feel going on where designers there love to be cheeky and play with traditional objects so that they are suddenly modern and fun. Of course recycling is hugely popular now so these vintage cups may not have made it off the shelves at the local Goodwill but when recreated into lighting they suddenly are very appealing and fresh. They just so happen to have another perk, they are affordable and unique making them a great find at $58 each.

    I found your blog from the Boston Globe Sunday magazine. You have a great site. I love these coffee/tea lights. I am a quilter and I call my studio Coffee Time Quilt Studio and my home blog is Coffee Time At Home. Yup, I like coffee. One of these lights would look adorable over my kitchen sink. Thanks so much for sharing the site. I’m off to convince DH I absolutely need one of these lights.

    What a sweet idea! These lights make me long to live in a historic home instead of a mid-century one! (Though I do love my house) :-)

    Aren’t those cute?
    My husband has made me a tea cup chandelier and a tea cup lamp, and I love them both, but we never would have thought of this!
