Living my dream? Yeah, I think so. I have my gorgeous husband and three beautiful children behind me, always supporting. I'm a visual artist and my paintings and sculptures are being sold in galleries, boutiques, salons, and online. I also branched out into other areas, having my original art being sublimated onto guitar straps, being sold internationally! Now, I'm not making lots of money yet, but the proverbial ball is rolling. I am gaining momentum and confidence with every new day! I think the key is to just believe in yourself and know that your work is worth it! Sometimes I get frustrated, but then I just take a step back and remind myself that if I persevere, I'll succeed...and somehow, that wisdom always holds true. No matter what your dream, if you focus on it, it becomes reality!

I'm actually going for an intervju today for my "dream" job, - to edit a small magazine for my passion: Patchwork and quilting.
To find the bloggingcomuity on the net, has made a huge difference to me how I see my art, how I perform, take photos, use words to express my creative thoughts, - and all that leads up to a book being published by me with a group of friends, and two shows, travelling and now even a small steady job.
Inside I've been an artist since I can tell, - but with a reasonable mind, I never aimed for the moon. Now I do. Been doing that for the last ten years, and it feels great to finally trust that creative soul in me.

Hi....I am so excited to enter his contest....will keep my fingers crossed.

My dream job would be to illustrate full time. Unfortunately, due to financial obligations, I must continue with my full time day job...secretary...and paint part-time. Not a lot of energy sometimes to do this......I would love to be able to stay at home.....set my own hours...and illustrate for some childrens books.....that would be a dream come true.

At 50....don't knowif I will ever reach this goal or not.....and sometimes it seems next to impossible.....but I just keep plugging along....

I am not living my dream job. But I believe that this job is helping in a small way to prepare me for that role if I ever get there. I have always loved art and anything art related. I am currently working for a govt contractor. I do what I went to school for 3d animation and modeling. My job allows me to make government related models and animate them. But I am stuck in a rut because it allows for no creative freedom, no change in colors, just ugly desert camo. But this was my first job out of school and I was very grateful because in this industry you have to have experience. But my dream jobs would be 1. Working for Pixar
2. Selling my paintings for lots of money
3. Starting my own buisness of some kind.

And they are in order of how I need to do it. If I work for Pixar I may be famous. Once I am famous I can sell my paintings for a lot of money . When I get a lot of money I can open my own buisness. Now I need to know what that buisness will be. IDK something creative.

Thanks Jamila

My dream job would be to work in international relations, particularly distributing foreign aid and promoting sustainable jobs, co-ops and local crafts....not even close to what I do now.

Oh - and I have my dream job. I'm a graphic designer with a firm I love. But if I could be anything else, I would be an olive farmer.

Advice to others...don't get discouraged along the way. Right before I found my current job I was turned down by a lot more places than my ego would have liked. But that's the way it was supposed to be - because the had I taken any of the job I sent out for I wouldn't have been available when this one SENT OUT FOR ME!

So just keep at it, always be yourself in interviews and such, and what's meant to be will happen when it's time. It's a lot like love that way :]

I'm trying to pursue my dream job of becoming a pediatric immunologist. I was bedridden for 5 years with an immune disorder, and still am sick, though better than I was. One of my doctors inspired me to want to help other kids with similar problems...I took the MCAT (though may be retaking it) and applying to med school...though it's a hard road, my family isn't sure I can do it (physically, that is), and it's so hard to figure out what I might do if it doesn't work out...it's so easy to get discouraged.

Please still consider my entry! I made a mistake in thinking of my own time zone (Central) rather than Eastern. :'( :'( :'(
