Just when you thought your reading list was long enough… I have more blogs to share with you. Some you may already look to for your daily fix, others may be brand new to you, but I’ve added several new blogs to the decor8 visual blogroll here: A-M and N-Z. I have been reading your blog since its inception and have always loved it. But don’t you think that this makes people who have been left off your blog roll feel like they have not been invited to the party. Just a thought.

Hi Charlie,

I see your point. I think it’s important to realize though that these blogs were not hand selected by me (except for Melissa Loves), they all asked me if they could be included and since I had space for 12 or so more I approved 12 submissions that came in, ones that I chose that I thought brought some variety to the blogroll. It’s not a popularity contest or anything so please do not assume that as I am trying to be supportive. Plus, I have received around 500 blogroll submissions since August and sifting through them all has been extremely hard. Of course, I cannot include all 500 since I do not have the space (or time!) but I do what I can. I hope that you understand now that I’ve explained things a little. Please do not be offended, I’m really doing my best but I have to draw the line again because I cannot have a blogroll with 500 blogs or more on it!

Charlie,

Oh thank you for understanding! You mentioned that there has been much talk lately about blogrolls, can you tell me where or? I am not aware of these conversations. For me, a blogroll is my way of showing support to the other community of bloggers. I will always have one, there are so many wonderful blogs out there that sharing is important to me – I’m not the queen blogger you know? I think some blogs may want to present themselves as the best or whatever but I never think that way about my blog. I feel amazingly grateful to other bloggers for linking back and supporting ME that I have to show some level of support to them. That is why I not only have a blogroll but I also feature a “blog of the week” something I’ve been doing weekly since March 2006. Many of the “blog of the week” blogs aren’t on my blogroll but I still point people to them because I believe they are really great. I believe that everyone has an important voice and that together we are a strong community.

I’m so happy to discuss this with you, and anyone else now reading in on this conversation, because I enjoy having the opportunity to explain myself.

I am so excited you included Cassandra and Coco + Kelley on your blogroll. I don’t always have time to read all my favorite blogs on a daily basis by Decor8 and CK are the 2 I check every morning! I hope the rest of your readers ck her out, like you she is a great support and inspiration!!
