Susie & Heidi Bauer, sisters and owners of Rock Scissor Paper, want to offer us a 25% discount on everything so I have just one question…are you cool with that? ;) Thought so. I SURE AM. I own so many cards from these ladies and I’ve nearly run out so it’s time to stock up. I’m crazy for their handmade cards with the fabric inserts. This discount expires on November 21st, please use coupon code “decor8xmas” upon checkout.
Shipping notes: They ship worldwide. Yay! Their shopping cart will list your shipping cost at $15.00. Since rates to each country are different, they will advise you of the actual shipping charges via e-mail before they process your order.
California peeps: If you are in LA this weekend, you can catch these lovely ladies tomorrow at the Holiday Gift Bazaar in Santa Monica or at the Felt Club show on Sunday, November 16th. If you’re in San Francisco, meet the girls at the Bazaar Bizarre on November 30th. OR if you are in LA in December, you can visit them at the Unique LA craft show on December 13 & 14th. Details are here.
FYI: This discount does not apply to their Etsy store, only their website found here.

Today over at Real Simple I wrote about the work of Aussie designer Lisa Tilse from The Red Thread. You may remember her from the decor8/Amy Butler contest because she entered the most adorable boy’s room mood board ever (view that here) and placed 3rd runner up. You can read my Real Simple post for the background info on Lisa but I thought I’d simply highlight some of her beautiful art here today since I felt inspired by some these colors and patterns…
Psst: Lisa also has a blog where you find everything from the shows she loves to watch to her creative inspirations and beyond. I’m off to the museum today but I’ll be back in a moment to leave you with a daily discount… Then in a few hours I’ll be back again with a few more discounts and blog posts, some special news about a new project I’m rolling out with another blog I’ve partnered with on something we’re excited to share, and of course I’ll conclude the week with a Happy Weekend post only this week, the post will highlight ALL of the special offers from the past two weeks in case you’ve missed any of them.
See you in a moment!

I chatted with the very sweet Ruth today…
Hello everyone! I have bad news and I have good news. The bad news is that the discount at Pillows and Throws that I posted earlier had to be removed because the coupon code could not be applied to all Thomas Paul pillows and I was not aware of that so I removed the post in order to reduce confusion.
The good news is… They are still offering us a discount, just not on the pillows I had posted about earlier shown in the original photographs. The 20% discount is only for the Thomas Paul cotton collection that normally retails for $44, some of these cushions are shown above. Please enter “decor820” at checkout. Offer expires on November 21, 2008.
Thank you Pillows and Throws for the clarification and I’m sorry friends for the mistake!

I have a terrific discount for you from See Jane Work! Oh yes, we all love this company am I right? I have shopped there a few times and am always so excited when my things arrive wrapped beautifully in blue tissue paper sealed with a pretty sticker. I love the care that they put into each and every order. They’ve agreed to offer us a very generous 25% discount! Yes, really! I’m excited too. The coupon code is “CJanedecor8” and it expires on November 21, 2008. Have fun!
If you are planning to redecorate your office, or to just become better organized for the new year then this is a great opportunity to get a jump start on those resolutions!

Juicy delicious paper products. Yum! If they were edible I’d be in trouble. I know most of us suffer from paper addiction but I’ve resolved that it’s perfectly okay and the best drug on the market because it’s the most affordable, no rehab required, and doesn’t seem to end in tears or broken relationships. If anything, relationships improve because you actually start mailing pretty cards to people whom you care about. :)
Here’s a little discount on Hello! Lucky, one of my favorite companies, to make giving even easier. Take 20% off by entering coupon code “hello!decorate” upon checkout. Offer expires on November 21, 2008. This offer includes everything – holiday cards and wrap and all greeting cards, personalized stationery, and their new book Handmade Hellos! WOW!
More on the book here (I know I’m ordering it). They SHIP WORLDWIDE. Enjoy!
I think we all should make a list this month of 10 people we love and send a “no reason” card. You know, a card not for any other reason other than to celebrate friendship and promote peace and love. Why not? If you’re up for it, this is something I’ve already resolved to do by the end of the year. 10 cards for 10 people who have made a difference in my life in 2008. I may even have 11. But I’m starting with 10. Are you game? I think we should totally go for it. Now more than ever people need to know that their life matters, they have friends, they are loved. It’s tough for some right now. People are losing jobs and security left and right. A good support group is one of the best ways to lift us all higher. Why not start by looking at our immediate circle and showing an extra dose of support right now? Just a card can do a world of good. I’m starting by sending 10 cards to 10 people who have made a difference in my life this year. Not for any reason other than, “You made 2008 a better year for me because….” – I can’t wait to send them. We have to be the change we wish to see in the world, a quote to apply for best results. :)
