Happy Weekend!

I’ve had one of those weeks, I explained why recently, and I’m happy to report that decor8 is back in full swing. Yay! Life is good again thanks to my husband. I cannot believe what he had to do to save my blog (and me) from hundreds of hours of repairs, but he did it through some complicated means that I cannot even begin to explain. When he starts speaking in tongues with tech terms I glaze over and just nod politely, “Uh huh, okay honey, good, nice, thank you”. Not because I don’t care to know the details, I do not UNDERSTAND the details because it sounds all Japanesey to me or something. I know this much, I had 978 links to create today but thanks to him, I had zero.

Now I can relax… (photo from Anthropologie)

This weekend I have lots of fun things planned, tomorrow I’m going to a big outdoor market and a flea market and on Sunday I’ll be with friends and then next week I will take off on Monday as I have a project to complete, but I’ll be back on Tuesday with posts and goodies for the week.

Until we meet again my friends – ’til Tuesday!

(2nd image from amazon, I’m dying to order Easy Elegance by Atlanta Barlett set to release in the Spring. Yum. All of her books I own and cherish.)

That’s a lovely book…I am putting it on my wish list. I also just returned three amazing books to the library and I forgot to jot down the authors…one was Flea Market Finds, one by an early Amy Butler on Vintage Decorating…I also adored Modern Country. It was earthy and edgy and unique. I suppose authors would be helpful…sorry.
Glad your computer woes are over, my server has been down for over a day twice in the last two weeks so I hear ya! How I would adore a full time computer nerd to work with me.

yeah for you! you have the best husband!!
enjoy you blog and would be sad if I didn’t read you posts daily.
love that image from anthropologie! the painting on the walls is excellent- with the colourful bedding, so dreamy.
they have the best props in their stores. I am lucky, I live down the street from one and they sell their props a few times a year, really inexpensive.

Poor you. It’s such a shock when something happens to what you’ve been working so hard on! I’m really glad that everything is saved. Your new layout is really beautiful, btw – yet the content’s what counts, and this is even more beautiful.

    Have a relaxed weekend=)

Glad everything worked out for you. I love your blog and your design sense. I’m a real estate agent and I love sending my clients to your blog. I rather list a well decorated home rather than a messy one. After reading your blog for a year, I decided to start my own. Thank-you for the inspiration.

The technical stuff can drive you crazy. My computer was down for several weeks. I am the same with my boys, and the eyes glazing over when the tech talk starts.

    Hi Holly,

I wanted to send you a comment to say
Hey when do we get to see your paintings???
I know they will be cute :)

you have some bugs or something on your server or site
I took you off my blogroll temporarily until you get it fixed
because its showing “rock paper siccors 2006″ then when you click on the link it goes to html code with no images just code

    I thought that was wierd

then in general google searc to try to get to your site
it won’t connect to your URL
    my ISP rejects it

well I hope you guys work out the bugs
because your wordpress site is awesome
    when its working ;-)

    Good Luck with repairs!!!!!

Oh, I hate “those” weeks! I had one of those myself last week. THE worst so far. So glad it’s over and I’m on a new week. Especially since this week is my first official week as a full-time artist!! (Aaaahhh!!!) I hope your new week is a great one too.

So glad you sorted all your blog woes. You and your husband have done a very good job. I was stuck because my fiance’s been away all week so I had no help! And noone to vent to. And boy, did I need to vent ;)
