Made By Hank

I spotted these over at Oh Joy! today and had to share them with you (and bookmark them for me!) since I think they are affordable, pretty, and provide practical on-the-go storage for little odds and ends. I like small bags to store fabric and paint swatches, measuring tape, and shopping lists so that when I’m out I always have these things on me in case I find a treasure – I don’t have to run home and grab my notes and things before making a decision. Made By Hank is a collection of gorgeous little handmade bags created by Philadelphia-based twentysomething crafter Katie Henry. They have darling cursive stitching on them, and of course the patterns and colors are fun and feminine.

I’m all about getting more organized right now, it’s one of my big goals and I spent the past few days on mini organization projects in my flat. I love the feeling of knowing where everything is and that all items have a place — that is my ‘secret’ to not only keeping the home clean but also to keep things organized, to have a place for EVERYTHING and I do mean everything. The second I don’t follow my own rules things go completely wrong.

I love made by hank!! Katie’s bags are so awesome, poor thing can’t make them fast enough, she sells out all the time. I bought a couple of the rough ruffles bags as gifts for friends, I can’t wait to get one for myself!!
