Just a little FYI for Domino subscribers:

I just called the 877 customer service number listed in the front of the magazine. They gave me the option of extending one of the other Conde Nast titles I subscribe to, choosing between about 25 CN titles to finish out my Domino subscription, or getting a refund for unsent issues. Obviously, I wish I still had Domino, but the process of getting it taken care of was fast and easy and the woman was very helpful. If you don’t contact them, you might just be sent something random. I appreciate the flexibility, anyway.

Also, why does Condé Nast keep 3(!) bridal magazines, and 2 golf magazines, and folds Domino? If I were an advertiser, I would definitely want to be published in a shelter mag that people buy loyally every month, instead of a bridal magazine that you buy once, if all goes well.

I know I’m finding out late, but I’m completely crushed about Domino, and I’m not the only one I know who is. Blueprint and Domino were the only magazines I consistently read, religiously collected and ever subscribed to. I’ll keep up with my hip, colorful decorating fix online but it will not be the same. I am heartbroken.

I’m so sad about this! I started getting Domino when it first started, and I’ve saved every issue because I have loved them all so much. Even in the midst of financial troubles, I kept this one coming to my door. I’m sorry to hear that it’s folding. :-(

I’m really sad about Domino folding. Not only did I actually love the magazine, but also because my shop was slated to be in the April issue! Pillow Mint was going to be in the “Destinations” section…Rita Konig herself was here in Charlottesville scouting out shops. I can console myself with the realization that had Domino stayed alive, we would’ve been in!! Sigh.

I just received their renewal letter yesterday so thought Domino was in the clear. I had heard rumors also. To go from being excited one day they were sticking around to learning the next day they’re going under is very hard to swallow. I have had numerous subscriptions to other mags that have folded also. Just recently Cottage Living decided to shut down but at least they offered to fill in my remaining subscription with Coastal Living, which is a decent mag. Blueprint never answered my questions regarding remaining issue reimbursement. I was disappointed as I expected better from Martha. I still haven’t gotten over House and Garden folding.

I am so sad about Domino, not only because it was my favorite magazine...and I'm obsessed with magazines....but because I just purchased about 15 subscriptions for friends for Christmas and they were so excited to start reading it! Nooo! First Blueprint, now Domino! Now where shall I go for quirky and uplifting inspiration?

I’m so bummed. I know of no other magazine on the shelves that is as simple, fresh, and exciting as Domino. It’s a great disappointment.
