Speaking of books, I added Wallpaper Projects: More than 50 Craft and Design Ideas for Your Home, from Accents to Art to my wish list last night. Doesn’t this look like a great read? It’s by Derek Fagerstrom and Lauren Smith who are co-owners of the Curiosity Shoppe and have a blog called Smarts and Crafts.
It showcases, “Contemporary and vintage patterns, plus instructions for over 50 wallpaper projects ranging from quick scrap crafts (book covers) to more involved design upgrades (headboards) to big impact makeovers (walls, window shades).” You can pre-order a copy here at Chronicle Books. The book will release sometime in April.

How fun!! I know so many people who are scared of wallpaper on their walls (strange, I know!), so this would be a ggreat way to add some fun pattern because there are so many AMAZING wallpapers out there!! Great find!

When I was young, my mother wallpapered every room in our house… at the time, I remember feeling a bit overwhelmed. Years later, when I helped her REMOVE all that wallpaper, I cursed the very idea of it! Now, I see it through a different set of eyes, and have come to truly appreciate (and desire!) the beauty and artistry it can bring to a space. This book looks like a fantastic resource of ideas! Thanks for sharing.

Yeah I read about this this morning in media news. I knew it for a few weeks though based on other press releases I’ve been reading. Sigh.

Really good find — I’ve been dying to try a project with wallpaper that’s not quite as big a commitment as doing an entire room (or even just a wall). Can’t wait to check it out!
