Affordable and fun! I love the idea of printing out a PDF file to create your own gift tags, labels, cards, and more. Smart crafty girl Ez from Wren & Chickadee just launched this PDF idea in her shop and I think it could be the start of a potential trend on Etsy. It’s a really clever idea especially in this economy. What do you think?

The balloon animals are my favorite PDF and only $6, a great affordable option for stationery lovers. Way to go Ez!

I’ve seen this idea around for some time now, when Little Brown Pen pioneered the idea. Certainly a great idea in this economy and the continuation of a trend that’s been floating around for some time now.

These PDF downloads are really catching on more now, which is really great. You don’t have to pay for shipping, wait for your purchase, and the seller doesn’t need inventory space. I love the designs on this set – so sweet!

I think PDFs work for everyone. Designers get to produce without overhead and buyers get great designs at an affordable price. The also have the option on what they’d like to print and how many. Great idea all around.
I’ve been selling my gift boxes/PDFs for over a year now (added stationery more recently) and so far they are my best selling items.

Oh I love Little Brown Pen, thank you for mentioning them! I reallllly like their YouTube video, I saw that a few months ago and thought it was the cutest thing ever. Oh and funny you mentioned them and their blog about Paris, I have to start reading it… My husband reads it regularly and was just talking about Little Brown Pen tonight!!!

I love pdf patterns. The only issue is that I find some pdfs ask for supplies I don’t have and which is not always available here. While you get the instructions instantly, I do often still like pack that you order online and that comes with all the materials included. Or am I just being lazy…

Yay! I’m so glad Ez added these to her shop. How adorable are they?!? I love the balloon animals.
I agree that pdfs are taking off, and it’s so cool to see how it all evolves. The possibilities are endless and there will be no doubt some really cool ideas to surface in the very near future.

Brillant idea! I’ve been checking out all these etsy shops mentioned above in the comments, and found super cute stuff! And how simple? Download & Print! Maybe I should design some when I start an Etsy shop!

Holly… eek! This is so nice! Thank you so much for featuring my new little venture. I also have to add a special thanks to Nichole from Little Brown Pen who gave me the much needed nudge and encouragement that I needed to get these up in my shop.
