Happy Weekend!

Have a lovely weekend everyone! I plan to do a lot of work around the house, see Coraline, and spend time with my family. I hope that you enjoyed decor8 this week as much as I did. Thank you for spending time with me and for your lovely comments and emails. I hope that you will enter the wallpaper contest, so scroll down for more information on that in case you may have missed it. Here’s a glimpse of some other things that I will do this weekend:

I’ll be visiting the Chiara Alberetti Milott website for more inspiration like this amazing photo. I love her collection of books!

I’ll also be spending money that I do not have on pastel masking tape from Japan. Really. Need I say more? Pastel. Masking. Tape. That is the stuff that dreams are made of! You can find these yummy rolls at DWR, via Oh Happy Day who found it first. Don’t miss the website of the Japanese company that makes it, such a lovely place to click around. They even sell some with a graph print (my favorite!).

I plan to learn more about Aubrey Trinnaman, also discovered from reading Jordan’s Oh Happy Day blog. I love this photo and the idea that playing with food is absolutely cool. Time to break the rules with a box of Lucky charms this weekend! Notice the milky heart on the table? Lovely subtle detail.

And I will read a new blog that I found today from a comment left by Mindy, her photography blog Three Little Birds is gorgeous and I want to spend more time later browsing it. I hope you will visit too.

What will you do this weekend?

This weekend will consist of no money being spent. The weather is warming up so may take a walk with my hubby and of course take the camera along!

OMG I just agreed to produce a high school musical! Not THE High School Musical, but Zombie Prom. I haven’t produced a show in 3 years and I am afraid of all the work. But in a down economy, it is not like I am super busy at work! (I am a decorator.)

I’m going to start packing up my rental property ready to move into our first ‘owned’ house! Half excited at the thought and half completely overwhelmed as with my gorgeous 5 children comes a huge amount of stuff! So far i have been walking around the house trying to decide where to start and writing lists – my procrastination technique as I can convince myself that it is actually a very useful thing to do.

I was just on the DWR website to order the tape, 10 packs for $20, but shipping is $20 and I’m not sure…. That’s $2 a pack so I guess that’s not so bad but I hate paying $20 to ship some tape! I found more colored masking tape on these sites in case anyone is interested in shopping around or just wants one roll vs. 10.

I’m reading this on Sunday so it is a post weekend update vs pre. I took my 5 yr old to see Coraline on Saturday and we both loved it. He enjoyed it so much that he said Daddy will have to see it. So needless to say he saw it again today. I’m looking forward to owning the DVD. It is very well done (not sure I would take children under 5 to see it – a little on the dark side). I LOVE that Japanese tape. Trying to justify the cost of shipping from DWR to order. I wish you could order directly from the Japanese site to get the printed styles.
