You Are What You Love & Aprile Elcich

I recently came across a thoughtful blog called You Are What You Love and felt an instant connection to the overall aesthetic and really enjoyed viewing the handmade work presented there. After some digging I found out the blogger is Canadian artist and graphic design student Aprile Elcich who also has an etsy shop where you can find delightful works like these:

I really enjoy her recent nature-inspired collages, specially like the chairs clipped from a 1901 Eaton’s catalog and other vintage book scraps that she couldn’t allow herself to throw out; I’m so glad she recycled them into her art.

I’m also digging her photos and most of all, her Flickr favorites found here.

Aprile can be found via: Twitter, Flickr, Blog, Etsy.
