Rice – Summer Collection

I love me some Rice. What a great Danish company, I own a bunch of things from them – I particularly like their kitchen items and ceramic bowls because everything is well made and happy looking! They’ve just rolled out a new website with photos in full on saturated color and oh boy, oh boy! You practically need sunglasses it’s so bright.

Notice who is shown in the picture frame on the shelf? Cute, isn’t it?

Did you know that Rice is now in America? Oh yes. I joke you not. I started writing about them three years ago and always wondered if someday they’d end up at some local Anthro store and sure enough… I bet a store could curate 100% of their merchandise these days from reading blogs because let’s face it, bloggers report on trends and talk about what consumers want. Reading blogs keeps their finger on the pulse of consumer buzz and that is a hot little pulse to monitor because it means potential profit. Look at Orla Kiely for instance, unknown in America a few years ago and now she’s practically a household name. Not a coincidence. If you want something bad enough just blog about it a couple thousand times. People are out there watching. They’re listening. To us. The bloggers and the blog readers. Kind of cool, don’t you think?

You can buy lovely Rice products in America — click here (type in USA) to view where they’re available.
