Want to see a little city apartment kitchen making a big impact? This wee kitchen belongs to Katie, and American living in Berlin with her husband Martin — I met them both at an event I spoke at last year and they were so sweet! This is their apartment, they gut remodeled the kitchen/living room area turning it from old school to modern and hip and the results are really nice and especially inspiring for those living in a small apartment (they have a 480 square-foot flat). They did an amazing job, her and her husband completed the work together and it’s just great.

Katie writes, “We built the entire thing in the 36 square feet next to the kitchen and in the space designated as our kitchen. Then there were the things like German quiet hours, finding the right stores, learning how to communicate (all of which you know so well!). The project was really a test of creativity with such limiting boarders and obstacles.”
