I’m signing off for a weekend of packing, showing our house (it is up for rent), seeing the Transformers movie (yay!) and knocking out some more tasks on my massive move to-do list. I won’t be resting much this weekend but I’ll certainly be in a better place on Monday because of it. Plus the movie will be a good break from it all, popcorn and junky soda is a guilty pleasure sometime and we’re trying to do all we can with our friends before we move. You know how it is, the pre-move crunch!

Good luck with all of the packing and house-showing!!! I’m glad to hear you’re finding time to hang out with your friends amidst all the craziness of preparing for such a big move. This weekend I really, really want to see that new Johnny Depp movie, Public Enemies – I’m looking forward to seeing all of the 1930s fashions, cars, etc…and of course looking at Johnny Depp for a few hours won’t hurt :)

NOOOO! at the risk of ruining your already hectic weekend, NOOO!
i saw Transformers 2 with my design team yesterday as a little work camaraderie session and it’s horrible! all the fun of giant robots in the first one is thrown out the window. michael bay actually managed to make an action movie into a slow, protracted painful mess.
as the movie ended we all started getting texts about the death of Michael Jackson. i am convinced that the two are connected……! (ok not really)
but maybe you can manage to make more of it than i can. ….having a nice sit for 2.5 hours is a plus…… right?
go see Up instead. it’s the best Pixar film to date, it’s all at once heartfelt, hilarious, sorrowful, and beautiful. i squeezed out a few tears in several places.
good luck with the packing, though. go girl go!

My weekend will be much like yours, minus the movie (no rest for the wicked!) I’m way behind on my packing (I’m moving cross country in 11 days!) I’m not “in love with” much of my furniture/decor, but with the high cost of shipping it, even the pieces I DO love are getting a hard look…. Big garage sale to come!

Oh my moving and packing is disgusting. My husband, daughter and I just moved this week and it’s so hot and so tiring. Good luck with all the stuff that you have to pack up and showing the house and all. This weekend, I’ll be … unpacking.

oh, and lemme know what you think about Transformers!! I saw The Hangover and while it had some funny bits I was not blown away with laughter like everyone is saying. UP was really sweet and gorgeous (although super dark for wee ones). I loved it, but I’m a Wall-E, Finding Nemo/Toy Story girl myself.
