I came across Plümo a few weeks ago but was unsure as to whether I should blog them or not since it appears they don’t ship outside of the UK… but now I’m thinking why not? We don’t have to purchase every single thing we see, right? I mean window shopping is absolutely allowed for those of us not living within their shipping zone so let’s drool and browse. No harm in looking plus I find their selection inspiring as everything seems to be inspired by the exotic vacations of a lady with exquisite taste, don’t you think?
I’ll be in London in August — just for a day, we have a reallyyyy long layover so we’re making the best of it and taking the train from Heathrow to Paddington Station and now I’m wishing Plümo had a storefront as their prices are pretty affordable even after the dollar exchange… most of what’s in London I fear I cannot stomach paying for after I run the conversion through my brain. But I must go to Liberty. And Caravan. And. And. And. Always And. :)
I really adore the style of all of these pretty things, don’t you? That flower garland would be lovely at a party, don’t you think?

Yes, their prices are quite affordable…but those Afghan throws (and the bags made of the same fabric) are sold in Brick Lane Market, directly from the artisans, £30 cheaper and with a greater variety of colours!

Fantastic link, thanks! I love their products, specially the ones with birds.

Absolutely stunning!
What a lovely array of color and styles – thank you so much for sharing. Love to start my day with a new stylish find.
Now I’m only trying to see if I can get an order to the US, there are some scarves that I think I have to have – and the flower garland would be a nice addition too.
Um, otherwise, I think I’ll have to convince my husband to take a shopping trip to London ;)
Be well,
Vanessa

If you want to go to Liberty, you’re better off getting the tube from Heathrow to Oxford Circus. It takes a few minutes longer but you’ll be closer (also handy for Topshop and Selfridges). Enjoy!

I know it’s not so good for anyone outside of the UK but being in the UK, it is great when it’s a shop is from here as so often they are American and it’s great to pay less shipping. Thanks

I really like those little birds! Wish I could go to London and buy them. The hearts are adorable, too. But what exactly are they?

July 1st, 2009 at 9:47 am
Yes, exactly! Most everything they offer on their site has a touch of the exotic. I’ve been a fan of Plumo for quite some time now. Their styling just blows me away and their stuff is really beautiful, but their prices are not so affordable with my country’s exchange rate. :( Oh well, dreams are free!
I also blogged about them exactly two months ago! :)

Plumo is such a great online shop and I’ve bought various things from there before now. However, for those of you not in the UK, you might like to take a look at Cox & Cox as well. Although they based here as well, they do ship internationally: http://www.coxandcox.co.uk/. I’m a huge fan of both.
July 1st, 2009 at 1:37 pm
Cox & Cox is a great suggestion, thank you Shannon!

How funny,
I was just looking at the plumo website following your link and realised that I’ve just blogged about the location for their photo shoots, it has to be the same place!. It’s just round the corner from my studio and is a fantastic setting, here’s the link http://helenrawlinson.blogspot.com/2009/06/secret-blisters-at-print-club-london.html . The clothes look lovely, still a bit out of my price range I’m afraid and I’m from the UK! I’ll watch their sales page……
July 1st, 2009 at 1:52 pm
mmmm… had another look, the jewelry and accessories aren’t bad at all on the price front, better not look again! Or maybe I’ll take just one more peek!
July 1st, 2009 at 1:52 pm
oooooooh i LOVE that garland! all their stuff is so pretty.
and i love window shopping! sometimes it’s “safer” to look only at places that don’t ship internationally anyways ;)
July 1st, 2009 at 2:09 pm
oh man, that tote is adorable. and i think i’d get the earring studs just for the printed paper backing…!
July 1st, 2009 at 2:31 pm
They have some beautiful things and I love the styling.
I am wondering if they might ship outside the UK if you emailed to ask them? Many people in the UK imagine that everything is available in the US. I know when I was based there and started my first online store, I never imagined North Americans would shop from me – until they did :-)

A really good tip for Plumo is to sign up to their mailing list and wait for their sale. Everything always goes in the sale and at the start of the sale at least, they will still have your size. I just received their sale catalogue yesterday. They really do mark down everything.

I love Plumo! My boyfriend surprised me a couple of months ago with a lovely tunic and I just adore it! Surprisingly it was so much prettier in person..
They do ship outside of the UK though. I live in Bulgaria and if they ship here, they probably ship everywhere else. I guess there might be problems with the heavier and bigger items, but when it comes to clothes and accessories there shouldn’t be a problem :)

What a lovely collection of goodies! And that garland! Too much fun. It actually has me thinking back to the rosettes (remember those?) … and wondering about another fun use for them.
