You won’t want to miss Take Five Tuesday this week because there’s a great discount nestled in here but you have to read each description below to discover where the deal is. I know, what a hook huh? I sound like such a sales girl. This week I’m sharing a mix of everything from faux bamboo retro lamps to Zakka-inspired magnets so without further rambling… here’s my 5 picks from Etsy this week!
Some of my goodies arrives recently from Zoe Tropa in Boston and so I had to include them in this round up to say how much I love their things. All the little pencils melt my heart…
Although I love the finds over at Fabulous Mess I wish the owners would disclose who they are and where they are based because I think it would definitely boost sales for them! But aside from that, I think their eye for vintage furniture, ceramics and lighting is the best and I especially like how well they restore pieces. Anyone know who is behind this shop though? They have excellent feedback so that should make you feel confident as a buyer though so I say give them a try.
Mr H Studio has some gorgeous modern bowls and mugs, I’m in love with the coffee cups… All are made by hand on a potter’s wheel in porcelain and stoneware shipped directly from maker to owner.
Courtney Oquist has such colorful, sweet prints that I just had to add them to the mix this week for a touch of whimsy.
Jean Pelle in Brooklyn is offering a 15% discount on most items in their shop – all Wood Candle Holders and ASSEMBLAGE pieces. I LOVE this shop and am dying to order about 5 of the these candle holders for my windows. The sale is over July 15th so if you want something simply make a note to the seller when you check out that you’d like the discount and they’ll send you a revised invoice for your new total. Sale excludes new items such as the Bubble Chandelier, jewelry, and already reduced items.

Love the chandelier – recently there was a pdf available somewhere on the internet about how to make a chandelier just like this, with links to where to buy the glass balls. I can’t find it though – does anyone know where this information is? Thanks in advance…

I always love all your etsy finds. I love etsy and love supporting individuals instead of a big company, because I recently lost my job at a beautiful local boutique, due to low volume sales. It was such a fabulous store and deserved so much more than it got. I hate that! I have ventured into selling on etsy myself now and am loving it! Thanks for supporting us!

If you’re looking for the materials to make the bubble chandelier, you can get the glass balls from CB2. Jean does have an article published in ReadyMade magazine describing exactly how to make one as they are a bit tricky. The CB2 in Berkeley, CA followed her instructions and the store’s designer made one that is on display in the shop.
You can find a link to both the instructions and the CB2 photo here by a friend of Jean’s I think. http://www.flickr.com/photos/badgurl/3608392412/
