I just discovered a new-to-me woman’s lifestyle magazine based in Finland called Kodin Kuvalehti thanks to editor Tiina who also authors her own blog called Sparkling Ink who was nice enough to write about me and send over a copy. Oh yes, I said write about me. The surprise part was when I opened up the July issue and saw words praising decor8 (she translated it for me). Wow!
I’m so flattered to be featured in a Finnish magazine — I can’t even begin to explain how exciting it is for me to now have readers in Finland joining me each day here on the site. I think it’s always important to care about what others have to say about you… even if you’re considered popular I think it speaks volumes about the person who is grateful vs. those who just act like they expect it and it’s no big deal. I definitely DO NOT expect these press mentions since I have no staff, publicist or anyone else helping me in this way. What comes is happening purely by word-of-mouth and because of that I really do not expect the press I get so it always feels very exciting and new. :)

I am a Finn, currently located in Milwaukee, WI, USA. I enjoy your blog so much (a huge fan). I don’t have a chance to read Kodin Kuvalehti or others here very often (the Finnish ladies in the area recycle Finnish magazines among themselves and the mags can sometimes be quite old). ;)
