Photographer Stefan Thurmann

I think I’ll share another Hamburg-based photographer with you today, this time it is Stefan Thurmann who is also an established name in Germany best known for his interiors photography. I have a tear sheet from Living At Home taken from his portfolio that happens to have one of my favorite photos on it showing a pear gently resting on a flower used as a place setting. See it there below? I’ve always loved it and have wanted to set something similar up the next time I have friends over for brunch. It’s a simple yet beautiful idea don’t you think? I believe it has powered sugar on top? Such a lovely touch.

I want that bicycle, isn’t it pretty? And the chairs are great. I also love those big windows. There’s nothing like big windows, am I right?

I’m running out to do a pre-move errand but I’ll be back later today with some more goodies for you to drool over. :)

Beautiful work! And I do love that kitchen. The lighting fixture is reminiscent of a dandelion puff. All the colours are so cheery! When we finally, someday finish our kitchen here, Holly, I’ll have to send you pictures. You might actually like it. (Unfortunately, getting a vintage 50s table re-chromed isn’t cheap! Sigh!)

The pear-flower place setting is indeed lovely and luscious. Elegant with just a touch of whimsy. Definitely drool-inducing!

The sheers in the final image are subtly fun as well. Lots of temptation to see here…

I just came across your blog today and I am loving it! Thanks for sharing all these wonderful, pretty and stylish things. I was amazed when I found out that you will be transitioning to Germany soon! I am living in Frankfurt and since my fiance is an American I will probably do a move the opposite direction at some point :)
I am glad I found this blog and will make sure to stop by regularly!

These are beautiful! I see a strong preference for very light hued floor treatments. Is there a common interior designer? I like it. I think it gives the rooms a real lift.

    Thanks for posting!

Beautiful and serene. I would love to recreate this aesthetic in my house. I’ve got dark cherry flooring (which I love) but I can definitely use this as inspiration!

Oh yes… big windows. I love seeing movies with wonderful New York apartments which have those huge windows. And the billowing sheer white curtains. Nice! Something else that caught my eye in one of those photos was the stack of wood near the fireplace. It looks like a work of art. I enjoy seeing that sleek white interior juxtaposed with the raw rustic timber.

That is a nice bike. It would be great for riding along the beach. I’m not sure about that coffee table though. I usually eat at my coffee table and I think I would get stuck and wouldn’t be able to get up! You have a very inspiring blog. Glad I found it!
