I was talking to Clare over at Selvedge Magazine recently and she told me that the magazine will now have its very own shop opening on July 11th! This is so exciting for those living in London, I think fans of the magazine will just love this new getaway where you can stroll through the pages by walking in the front door. A magazine brought to life – how fun!

If you visit, please let me know how it was okay? I want to go in August when I’m in London… The shop opens on the 11th at midday with cupcakes, elderflower cordial and discounts of 25% off everything and up to 50% on some lines. Have fun and eat a cuppy cake for me. :)

P.S. I love that these ladies are all wearing different color tights. Makes me want Autumn to come soon!

Come visit us, too, when you’re in London! BTW, we’re opening a fab retail shop in late August – fabrics, books and mags, haberdashery, handmade goods, cook kits and patterns, etc. to complement our contemporary craft workshop studios. :)

I used to live right round the corner from there. Just as well I moved to the other side of London. The shop looks so lovely I would spend way too much time in there!

That whole concept of a magazine coming to life sounds wonderful. It reminds me of when Donna Hay first opened her store Australia. It was very exciting to see all those beautiful pages in her books and magazines come to life.

yes, the concept of a magazine making it’s own store front….well that’s nothing short of cool! can you imagine if Domino or Blueprint had created a brick and mortar store?!

They are already open – I’ve been and wrote about it earlier this week. It’s lovely. The Make Lounge also great. I wrote about this as well as The Papered Parlor, another craft workshop in London. Plus – Liberty starts its classes again in September. You can book online. Always happy to show you around!

Hi Holly,

I was able to attend the lovely grand opening of Selvedge on Saturday. I especially enjoyed seeing Tamar Mogendorff’s bird houses and cages in person. My only regret was that I didn’t try the cupcakes as they looked too cute to eat!
