Dream Chair

I don’t know about you, but I could fill my home with chairs because to me, they’re like my shoe collection — I can never get enough. This is one lovely chair that I spotted today over at Cookie magazine online and all I could think when I laid eyes on it was: SIGN ME UP. I want one though I have no clue where I’d put it or even why I want it so badly… But then again, cravings are usually like that aren’t they?

Via Cookie Magazine

Does anyone know where this chair is from – who makes it? I found one here but it seems to be something you have to buy in bulk…

Although not identical, it reminds me of the Egg Chair Nicole @ Making It Lovely has in her garden. Very cool!

OMG… I’m so happy about your chair obsession comment! They ARE like shoes – carefully chosen, but found anywhere from thrift stores to high end retailers! We just moved into a house less than 1/2 the size of our last place and I had to find homes for some of my beloveds… it was almost like placing pets into loving homes! LOVE this dream chair!!!

Someone to share my chair obsession. Glad to hear I’m not the only one. Even my art work features chairs big time and I just loved when I stepped into the Musee des art decoratifs in Paris – not just a wall stacked with chairs but a whole podium full of them.

I too have a chair fetish, and have to consciously remind myself that I probably don’t have room for any more, but then I disregard my inner voice anyway!

I love chairs and only wish I had the time and space for them. This chair reminds me of the coziness of a papa-san chair. I enjoy seeing chairs and envisioning myself curled up, reading or sketching, next to a window as the sun rises.

I’m pretty certain this is made by domus ventures and is sold in specialty patio retail shops. I know I saw it at the casual show last year in Chicago.

this isnt the exact chair but its similar. there are a lot of filipino designers who make furniture like that too. check them out:

Kenneth Cobonpue (he has designs that were featured in one of the Oceans movies – Oceans Twelve i think?)
