Are glass table lamps all the rage or what? I’m not talking about stained glass, more like clear or brightly hued solids… I’m seeing them everywhere lately, from boutiques to stores like TJMaxx and IKEA. I like how light and airy they appear, don’t you? I had a pair of clear glass lamps on my bedside tables a few years ago and gave them both to my mother – she loves them – and the best thing about clear glass is that they match any decor or color scheme, something she loves since she’s always changing her bedding! I also like clear glass because it’s colorless so you can move it to any room and it will work. Of course, not all glass table lamps are created equal, some come in colors too. Here’s a round up of nearly 20 glass table lamps in all shapes, sizes, colors and prices so in case you’re on the hunt for one you may not need to look any further!
a. Sophia from Zia Priven Design (price not known), b. Jewel Heist lamp $98 and c. Maria Berntsen’s hand blown glass table lamp $420.
d. Aqua Glass lamp $45, e. Zak table lamp $199, f. Simon Pearce Hartland lamp $495, g. Trumpette lamp $895, h. Glass Candlestick lamp $99, i. Briana glass table lamp $139, j. Gourd table lamp $179 and k. Bacchus table lamp $169-199.
l. Japanese float table lamp $200-249, m. Olinda table lamp $299 and n. phantom table lamp $99.
o. Jonsbo Egby lamp $20 available in green, pink or clear and p. Ljusas Uvas in black or red $40.

Fabulous round-up of glass lights! Deciding among several for our bedside tables, so this is quite helpful.
Simon Pearce one is interesting as the Hartland on their website is very different from the Hartland at WS (that is one that’s in the running for me!).

I don’t have near enough surfaces in my house for even one more lamp. But I want. I really do.

i love this look! my only concern with glass lamps has been the cord… you can’t hide it as it goes through the base.
i suppose i just need to “embrace” the cord! any suggestions?

Holly- I’m so glad you wrote a post about this. I have a love affair with glass table lamps. I try to used them in many of designs. There is an elegance glass table lamps bring to any room no matter of what your style might be. HomeGoods has a great variety of them.
Also, I’m inviting you to participate in our giveaway. You are going to love the glass paperweights, specially the one with the butterfly.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Lovely roundup of glass lamps! I so want to find one to replace the metal lamp on my round glass table in my family room. Since my husband has filled the table with plants, I think a glass lamp would add back some airiness and reflect all that lovely green as well.

If you can find the right bottle, you can make your own; My mom went all Peter Dunham and had this one made into a lamp for the Maine house:

Those lamps are beautiful! Can I also suggest keeping an eye out at flea markets, thrift stores, etc?
Those fancy cut-glass lamps from yesteryear are also incredibly beautiful, and I’ve seen many ones similar at TK Maxx and whatnot.
(Much like these two:

Which reminds me. I have a question, I guess! I have two lovely vintage faceted glass lamps ( http://tinyurl.com/nsm39k ) and can’t find shades for them. I would think that I am not the only one with this problem, since the “stock” lampshade isn’t always best for one’s decor. Personally, I’m looking for two medium-sized drum shades, does anyone know some good lamp shade websites? Any that are budget friendly? (I’m not paying $30 per lampshade! Heh heh)
