   It was interesting… for a show that this year has so many “already designing” designers, I found them seriously lacking in skills and taste. Yikes! I hope it gets better and that the “pro” route doesn’t end up making for a not so good show…

   I was sad to see that this year they did not feature clips of the try-out process. I loved seeing the portfolios of the contestants last year. I did like the hot pink birds too — whimsical twist.

   I haven’t watched it since Miles of Style lady won. At first I liked the show, but couldn’t stand watching the winner spin-off television shows…overall I feel the talent in the shows is lacking and shallow. HGTV does a dis-service to interior design. My thoughts- no I am not watching it this season.

   I think the judges critiques were spot on. With four days and such large budgets, I expected more from most of the designer teams. However, I wondered why given the size of those rooms, the living room in particular, that the designers weren’t given painters? That would have helped the master bedroom team immensely with time management which led to their demise.

   My favorite room was the dining room.

   I was disappointed in Vern and Genivieve. They were so ignorant. I will no longer watch their shows. You can give criticism without being so nasty.
   They are not all that great. I think they need to remember where they came from…be humble!!!!

   I think they got off to a rough start. Maybe they were over thinking their first ideas. There were a couple of good ideas, I’ll continue to watch, lets hope we see some more exciting ideas!
