Inspired By Blue & Red

Isn’t raspberry red and blueberry blue such a great color combination? Very summery I think. These are from a nearby farm where I live, in German, blueberries are called Heidelbeeren or Blaubeeren and raspberries are Himbeeren. In any language, to me, they are just plain delicious. Time for a snack…

simple is best

What is your favorite color combination of the moment? Any faves to share with me?

Love those summer colors! There’s nothing like the blueberry blues and raspberry reds of a summer salad!

Ooh yum! I love raspberries and blueberries and I love the color combo!
My favorite at the moment would have to be retro light pinks, teals, blues, yellows, and mints. Like the colors you would find in a 1950s ice cream shop! =)

My favorite color combination lately has been inspired by the hollyhocks in my garden… minty yellow green, & deep dark blackish purple: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=27224471

But I am still in love with mustardy gold and dusty salmon pink. The hubs is firm about not wanting a room these colors, but I’m hanging in there one it. =)

My wedding colors were mango, raspberry, & kiwi. Not only were they beautiful together, but they were delicious too!

Right now I’m loving white, coral, and pistachio. They are the colors my Mom and I are using for my grandmother’s surprise 80th birthday party.

Yum, you can’t beat fresh berries. My favorite are almost too-ripe blackberries, straight off the bush.

Current color combo that I am daydreaming about: medium to dark gray paired with a small amount of light rosy pink.

Also, a classic: indigo (or dark blue) and white. I never tire of this.

    hallo holly,

    hallo holly,

we love the torque on each instance violet and red and purple and green (the grass green, which this summer in the German mode prevails) … unusual color combinations are as exciting, or … a life without color unconceivable …:- )

I’m currently digging yellow and pink. It’s funny how a few years back I would never had said pink. I think with age, I’ve become a bit more girlier. :)

Hi Holly: best of luck to you in Germany…looking forward to hearing all about it. I love the blue and red, which is so American but I always go back to red and yellow together – I just love the combination of happy yellow and passionate red so much that I have now decorated 2 houses with this combo in the living room! I can’t help it! You can see the combo on my humble blog…
