How imaginative these place cards are from Timeless Paper in Philadelphia! I’ve never seen butterflies gently resting on the rims of glassware before as a place card but now that I do well, I’m in love! They have birds, shrimp (yes, really), peacocks, dragonflys, leaves and more! I want to throw a party right now just to show my guests these fluttery accents.
I also like the napkin rings with the sweet button accent. I don’t know about you, but I’m thinking up all sorts of variations of this idea and how much I love how imaginative Timeless Paper is!
Psst: This shop is part of a weekend Etsy sale so you can save 20% off of your order total if you write in the message to sellers box the code “weekend deals”. This sale is valid from Thursday, September 3, through Monday, September 7.

Love the added touch from the button. This gives me a new idea for using my Cricut.

KitchAnn – I’ve been hearing a lot about Cricut. What is it??

These are wonderful!

Cricut is a paper puncher-outer thing. There’s another one too, that a lot of people say is better, but I can’t remember. Both have their pros and cons. This is how a lot of crafters are getting these gorgeous cute butterflies of paper and felt. A lot of scrapbookers use them. Dang, I can’t remember/find the Cricut competition – I think the competition is supposed to better at cutting felt, too. I have been wanting one, but they’re investment pieces and I’m not convinced I’d use one enough to warrant the purchase.
in other notes – I love this Timeless Paper shop! I’ve had them on my favorites and have sent several brides-to-be their way. Something different and unique!

ok the other one is Sizzix. that not-remembering was bugging me!
http://www.sizzix.com/
The itty-bitty craft shop in my town actually knew about them and can order Sizzix stuff, so maybe that’s easier to get in Germany than Cricut stuff? Not sure, I only ever seriously considered a Sizzix. Hope that helps!

The butterflies on the glass rims are an idea taken from Martha Stewart! I’ve had the template since brainstorming my wedding in 2001! These look to be made from the exact template: http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/good-things/gentle-landings-floaty-butterflies?autonomy_kw=butterfly
I also used the Martha template with Amy Butler paper when I styled this party for a magazine shoot recently: http://tomkatstudio.blogspot.com/2009/05/fashion-shoot-garden-party-for-go.html
Love it! Perfect for weddings or a garden party! I love how they incorporated it into the menu and napkin ring, as well!
