Lilly Berlin

While I’m talking a little about Berlin designers today, have you heard of Lilly Berlin, the lampshade queen? Oh she’s so great at selecting beautiful fabrics to cover her shades with for both table lamps and pendants. I like the patterns she finds, from nesting dolls to cute little scenes, animals, and lots of tiny prints and her shades come in made sizes and shapes. Here’s a view of some, see which ones you like…

They are gorgeous. We have recently bought some new light fittings for our house in a similar barrel shape, but they have plain off white fabric on the outside and patterned wallpaper on the inside. My daughter loves the one in her room (with a hot pink floral design with greens and lime on the inside) – she calls it her surprise light, because you get a surprise when you look inside.
