Last week Nina told me about the handiwork of her friend and designer Ingrid Jansen and her company, Wood & Wool Stool in the Netherlands. She pointed me over to her Flickr photos and I noticed there that she also has an etsy shop. Wow! Such lovely vignettes, I love how well edited this space is — she choose pieces that really stand out and make a statement. And her work — well, it’s visually stunning and a lovely way to blend old with new in a modern way. The Dutch do this so well, don’t they? Have a peek below… you can view more beautiful images here.
Thank you Nina for sharing! And if you’d like to learn more about Ingrid and her work, you may visit Nina’s blog since she has a great interview posted there with her. Wait until you see where she works part-time, wow!

I simply admire and adore Ingrid’s creations and home. She is really talented in everything she does! She was one the first people I accidentally – you know hopping from person’s account ,to the other – discovered in Flickr back in July, when I first made my account. I ‘ve been stunned ever since. As I ‘ m flying to Greece to finish with the renovation of my parents’s apartment and want to make a present to them, I ‘ve been thinking of one of Ingrid’s wood & wool stool. This way I can also enjoy it when I ‘m there! I hope she already runs her website in English, too, as Dutsch is a language that I like but do not speak : (
Lovely post Holly, so was the one about Friedamaria Studio. They do have their special way in the Netherlands, don’t they?

love how “imperfect” things are…lampshade askew, mirrors hung unevenly. looks like a real home, not a magazine. I love that.

oh! I just saw one of these this morning when reading the Dottie Angel blog – she was standing on one and I thought, ‘gosh that’s a cute stool!’ and now I know where it comes from!
and Ingrid’s part time job locale – amazing. That hotel is a destination on it’s own!

I fell in love with the staircase, it looks so airy and well proportioned.
Also the cardholder is a great idea to display pictures, I definitely have to find one.

Beautiful! I could see myself sitting outside on the patio with a cup of coffee, I think I would be quite comfortable :) I love how the curtains frame the doorway going outside and the floors are to die for!

love the orange chair, esp the design of it. Any suggestions for where I might find an interesting chair????? On the lookout for one or two or three for different rooms — design, comfort, affordability are top concerns. I see such great looking chairs in photo shoots. But a chair needs to be sat in, tried out, but if anyone has had good luck with a certain brand/style of chair, I would look into it and order online. I love chairs!

Gorgeous rooms and so well edited for sure! I love, LOVE that rack on the wall, holding the seed packets…..I wonder what it would be called? Cause you know I am going to start searching for one, right….NOW! :)

how lovely to see ingrid’s wonderful creations on your blog holly…
i have to tell you that the stool in the first picture is now residing most comfortably in my home… it was a birthday gift from my mother and might i add, a ‘gift of the utmost kind’. i felt most spoilt :)
ingrid’s work is just beautiful, her images breathtaking and she is quite the most loveliest of people i have come across…
