Well dear friends, it’s that time again… time to bid another week farewell and welcome the weekend with a really big high five. Woot! I have so much going on over the next few days that my head is spinning but I can’t wait to get started so I’m signing off for now. What do you have planned? Anything good? Try to fit in something nice for yourself, promise?
I’m having family over tomorrow and on Sunday, attending an outdoor festival with some friends of ours. I hope to squeeze in some “me” time on Sunday morning, I want to tackle my china cabinet and work on using my new watercolors (I was so inspired by Geninne’s videos I went out and purchased watercolors, paper and white ink, I have no clue what I’m doing but hey, it will be fun!). Today my husband and I made some delicious organic vegetable soup with fresh herbs so we’ll no doubt polish that off this weekend too since it suddenly feels quite cold outside (hat weather). I’m going to the bakery for fresh bread and pastries in the morning, a trip I love to take on days when we have guests coming by, and hitting the flea market bright and early too. There’s something about bakeries and flea markets on a Saturday morning, right? Yum. So that about sums up my weekend. Now it’s your turn, what will you do?
And remember: Next week, on Friday the 16th, I am hosting the annual calendar round up so if you’ve created a calendar for 2010, please submit yours to me via email (details here) by Monday. Thank you.
Have a great weekend, I’ll see you on Monday!

Have a lovely weekend Holly!
In Canada, we are celebrating Thanksgiving! So, lots of turkey and cranberries, yum! And an extra long weekend means more time for nesting and crafting, can’t wait :)

This weekend is Thanksgiving (I’m in Canada) so I’m going to be surrounded by turkey, gravy and gluten-free pumpkin pie. Sigh, heavenly. Enjoy your weekend :)

Your weekend sounds like fun.
Well tomorrow i’m attending a craft fair so today will be spent making sure everything is ready for that, making a few bits and pieces and drinking lots of coffee and maybe a glass of wine in front of the fire tonight.
Enjoy!

Well, it’s Saturday morning and I’m up early to read the New York Times in absolute solitude. I might go to yoga and pick up a steaming hot cup of tea on the way home. It’s getting chilly in NYC!
Then, the big day begins. Tonight we’re entertaining my husband’s boss and wife, so there’s lots of cooking and cleaning to be done. I’m making a salmon mousse appetizer from the Silver Palate Gourmet cookbook, a salute to the recent passing of Sheila Lukins.
Tomorrow, is brunch at the Standard Hotel and then off to the events surrounding the Food and Wine Festival! Big weekend here and I’m excited.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Have a great weekend Holly :D Me and hubby would be busy with our Hindu New Year preparations which is just a week from now. Grocery shopping and house cleaning is on our weekend schedule. Kinda boring, but with the help from Hubby, it would be fun for a change :)

My Saturday was very nice. I was invited to my friend’s annual ‘witches’ tea party’ and it was so much fun sitting around the table with nice people and pointy hats.:)
I got a toddler and a baby, so my Sundays are usually all about the kids.
I live in Malibu and it’s the time of the year where I need my UGGS in the morning and flip flops in the afternoon. :)
Have a great Sunday everyone.

Sounds like you had a great weekend planned! I ran a half marathon event on Sunday – my very first so it was a good feeling to actually finish it and tick that off my list of things I want to achieve! Next weekend will be more like your one though – cafe’s, flea markets and relaxing.
