A decor8 reader, Nicole, commented on a post last month referencing a man she’d gone to school with named Bill Kingston. She encouraged me to look at his portfolio and I just never got around to it. But then this morning, I recalled her comment out of the blue and went back to find it and I’m so glad I did! Bill Kingston is a lifestyle, food and interiors photographer in North London, represented by the Re:fresh agency, and here is a glimpse of his portfolio to get us in the decorating and design mood this week!

Bill has an impressive client list which includes IKEA, Habitat, Elle Decoration and Livingetc to name a few — perhaps when you browse his online portfolio some images will stand out as familiar to you as they did for me.

Don’t you love the wellies and the photos on the wall in the bathroom? I also dig those rainbow stairs. What arrangements of things that you see are you particularly fond of, and why?

Oh, I adore this lively & fresh photography! Such a photo wall would look perfect in my lobby – I’ve been wondering what I should do with this large empty spot there, anyway.

And look at his food portfolio! Makes me hungry although I just had lunch :)

I just wanted to say thanks for the feature. I had a quick look at my web stats this afternoon to see that my hit count has gone through the roof!

It always fascinates me to see where in the world people are visiting my site from and today’s hits have come from a truly global audience; from Rio to Zargreb, Perth to Barnes!

i like how the hand seems to be gesturing towards the necklace…makes me ‘look here’, know what I mean? I like how it’s off-center = motion somehow.

if you took out the towel/rack I’d like the last one, but I’m wondering why white towels next to a boot rack? it does make me pay attention, but I like the others better, esp the aforementioned hand & necklace combo!

How lovely….beautiful photographs( and how sweet and kind of him to leave a comment) :) and beautiful interiors. I am with you….those stairs and the photos in the bathroom have captivated me. I wonder if that rainbow runner is from ikea?

I absolutely LOVE those stairs! What an original idea…I have never seen anything like that before and it’s just sooo me…if I had stairs, I’d do that to them! :0)

Bill is such a good lifestyle, food and interiors photographer ! The composition and angle is so intuitive and so good ! Thanks for sharing ! It’s so hard to take a good picture that feels as airy and bright like he did with the first 4 photos. Good find !
