House Doctor: Spring!

Lots of catalogs and press releases are flying in all of a sudden, my head is trying to enjoy winter but everyone else is telling me that it's time to think of spring. I'm almost scared to go into stores, I imagine I'll see bikinis and beach towels as I stand before them in snow boots and mittens thinking What the....?. It's hard to get into the spring mood when it's snowing outside and minus 500 degrees but that's how the world spins. Christmas is over and I'm already being asked what I plan to do for Easter and where I'll take holiday this summer. I think there are so many books out there on enjoying the moment for this very reason, no one will ever let us! And now you have me, joining the masses with a chipper peak of lovely products for spring. But I just caved the moment I saw the new House Doctor catalog. See why?

House Doctor: Spring

This is a big name in Germany, but it's not a German brand but a Danish one. Have you heard of them? Several stores in my neighborhood carry their wares and it always pleases me whenever I have some extra change to splurge on some of their things because they're really quite delightful. Would you like to pause from your winter moment to look forward to spring with me? I promise, only for a moment. Not to depress you! Then we'll get right back to the regularly scheduled program of candles and mittens and snow, oh my!

I see so many great styling ideas, don't you? And wow, if you aren't a lover of purple these rooms may convert you as each seems to have a dash of violet somewhere. I love their recycled bohemian vibe, it's very laid back and quirky, fun! About this collection House Doctor says, "Everyday 2010 is a collection where colour, shape/design and function are all dominant elements. The style is provocative, personal and not too formal. We believe that the time right now is a time for mixing the elements rather than matching the elements."

Thanks mausumi for the reminder by the way...
