I have been looking at this desk since we moved here from MI in July & I had to leave a lot of our belongings that didn’t sell behind & we are in dire need of a desk at least in our room… even our daughters don’t have desks yet so if I won I could order this desk the very same day I get the gift card. This is something I really, really want, but we also really, really need since our bedrooms are so close my daughters could also use this desk when they need to go online instead of bringing my laptop to their beds.

I am slowly organizing our home office/my craft supply room. I really could use more canvas storage bins like this http://tinyurl.com/ye6dmjr I use them now for holding supplies but my supplies are overflowing my current storage bins. Adding more will allow me to separate my various craft supplies into their own container.

We are in the process of decorating a spare bedroom that is an odd size because our home is a city rowhome. We know we need a bed of sorts (duh, what’s a bedroom without that) but we also want the space to function as a sitting room as well. My husband and I are purchasing a vintage 1870’s log cabin that has been greatly expanded and completely remodeled, but still retains that rustic charm. I would love to use the gift certificate from West Elm to add some modern elements to the great room to complement the log walls and great stone fireplace. Since my husband’s last name is the German word for “sparrow” I thought the mango-wood carved songbird sculptures would be a fitting accent for the mantle in our new “Sparrow’s Nest.” The bird’s nest duvet cover and shams might also be refreshing in my children’s bedrooms under the eaves.

Went to the West Elm store in Scottsdale and fell even more in love!! Everyone was SO nice and awesome. They searched their stock room for a glass vase I HAD to have and helped me find a suitable alternative. Heart them!

A recent addition into my life, is my boyfriend’s graphic design studio moving into our living room.
