Flor Panichelli in London is the artist behind the whimsical works found in the Sweet Bestiary shop. It’s hard to not gush about Flor’s work, it’s truly incredible and so well done – from the color palette she works with to the way she brings all her little characters to life with her very detailed eye – it’s fantastic.
Someday, and I mean someday so please don’t start commenting to ask when I’m having a baby or if I’m pregnant (he he I get that every single time I mention anything about children’s rooms), but I would love to put work like this in a child’s room. But perhaps before then, I can even see something on a shelf or wall in a work studio and certainly in a pretty little shop.

These are painfully cute! They would be so sweet over a crib or little bed. They remind me of the animated Peter Pan, with all the lost boys dressed as animals.

I don’t know. These are interesting, but kind of creepy. Maybe it’s because the faces have no expression on them, they just stare. I would not want to put these pieces up in a child’s room.

Wow! I’d especially love a few of the finger puppets standing together. No children necessary. ;)

OMG – I love stuff like this! I would put those anywhere creative though, even though they would look extra great in a kid’s room.

Those are so gorgeous and whimsical. I agree—they would look wonderful in a child’s room, but also would make a wonderful little whimsical touch anywhere. I love the colors too—and the photos—they’re great!

Thank you! These were on the front page on etsy today – I got distracted by a phone call and when I got back, the page had changed, ever to return again. And now here they are! yay!

Holly, I’ll say it again. I love you and your blog and your taste and now, by being in your Blogging Your Way class, I love your voice, too!
So, with all that, I’m also going to very respectfully say that I’m so completely freaked out by these things. But, that’s ok, we all have different likes and dislikes!

Meredith – ha ha ha! That’s funny! Yeah I can see how some may be freaked by them — maybe too many horror films or spooky stories as a child or something? I don’t know. I think they’re cute though, they look and feel very fairytale like. :)

I just showed my husband this post.
They scare him too.
Ladies you are not alone. :)
But I still like them.

The fact that they are a little weird is what makes them cool to me. But I know I would have been freaked out by these as a child. So get them now for yourself, and don’t wait til you have a kid!

I think the’re very gorgeous. But I must admit they don’t look like children’s toys to me, their expression reminds me of Nara Nishitomo’s art.

Very reminiscent of Paola Zakimis dolls, I think.
