Well there is only blue and white with a little red/pink here and there.
They are all open, airy, light, summery. The person that lives in this home probably wears light sheer dresses and has naked children running around eating that fruit from the yard. There is an emphasis on the handmade and doing it yourself.
O.k. that is all I have from these!

Hey Holly! This is a wonderful excersise indeed… and what a truly talented woman.
These images made me feel in light spirits and crazy to go outside and enjoy a lemon ice cream while soaking up the sun.
What I like the most about her styling ways is the contrasts she creates, her spaces are soft & sweet with a twist!!! she is not afraid of making a statement, of pairing baby blue with bright red, what a refreshing take!

I really love how bright the photos are – they so remind me of lazy summer days. They make me dream of leaving all work behind, my laptop and phone at home and just spending some quality time at a small cottage somewhere far away. It would be nice picking fruits for breakfast in bed and flowers to make the place even more beautiful. Ah… :)

One word…scrumptious!
Is that a real snail on the box in the bottom photo? genius! – okay, I guess that’s two words. ;-)

I would have to say they make me feel calm and serene. All the colors are very soothing and muted with a few pops here and there. It’s just nice and calm to me.

Simple, pared back elegance which is kept current with pops of fresh colour.
I love Ali’s whole aesthetic – really makes me want to bring spring into my house.
On a separate note, please could I ask what the font that you use to write ‘Stylist Ali Bradshaw’ beneath the first set of pictures is?

the first word that came to my mind: feminine!
March 1st, 2010 at 3:00 pm
Ali has an eye for the elegant without ignoring fun and whimsy. She appreciates the impact of spare, but also the power of color (especially when paired with a dramatic white backdrop). It is clear that she knows just the right way to celebrate an object’s character and beauty without noise and distraction. Her styling is about charm without tchotchke. In this world Spring and Summer rule.

Oh my… what Ali Bradshaw can do with her well styled photographic works of art:
. She tells stories… imagine a pretty little princess standing in awe at her mother’s dresser… the lovely perfume bottles, the pretty jewels, the tempting jars of cosmetics.
. She surprises… a stack of books all dressed up with red ribbon in a little silver carrier.
. She invites… “Won’t you join me for a little lunch? Please sit here at corner so you enjoy the view of the garden. I’ve just made some fresh lemonade, would you like some?”
. She makes you notice… who knew pomegranates were such a splendid, rich ruby red?
. She stirs it up… dreamy Bermuda-blue shutters add punch and set the stage for a tropical dining area.
And that’s just what I see after 15 minutes, image taking the time to really study these images and let your imagination run wild. Oh my… what Ali Bradshaw can do!

I think her sensibility is clean, fresh, and modern. She’s definitely got a feminine approach without being frilly or silly. I love the way she combines the pale colors with a pop of contrasting saturated hues (the candle, shutters, pillow & pomegranates. Overall, I love her style and its modern, feminine, clean look with just enough sass to keep you interested.
Great post, love this stylist.

I get a fresh, airy, spring and summer feeling when I look at these lovely images. Want to wear a coton dress, work in the garden, go for a walk in the park and eat a ice cream with my children. And just sit and hear the birds sings. Love how she combines colours!

These photos are inspiring. The rooms are drenched with sunlight and crisp colors that stir the senses, while stiil evoking a calming, comfortable atmoshpere.
You can almost smell the roses and envision the garden, taste the pomegranite, feel the texture of the candles and dried leaves in the envelopes.
Who wouldn’t want to receive those books so lovingly wrapped up in the ribbon and bow?
Crisp color, comfort, and texture.

These beautiful photos show a fabulous use of natural light, and with the splashes of colour, the stylist is creating a vein of fun and relaxed ambiance throughout this home. It whispers of summer holidays and giggling children and you can almost taste those vibrant, sun-warmed pommegranets popping in your mouth!

I would love to interview such a person. I would have to ask her where she gets her inspiration. I love the dreamy effect and would like to know if these are photos of natural light or made light. What camera does she use. How did she come about advertizing portraiture and still life vs. portriat work. Who inspires her and why? I would start with one photo and go through it with her where the vision came from. How long does it take to do a still life portrait. I could go on and on. Thanks Holly for sharing your blog…Marsha

Crisp, clean, and feminine with a bit of sparkle. I like how even her shots that don’t have glass or metal items have sunlight reflecting off leaves or a bokeh effect in the background. Like a sunny winter day. :-)

Very beachfront more than cottage country style, with the primarily white and turquoise. Softens with small flowers (not overpowering in the least) then pops with pomegranate and shocking pink candles. Love it.

These images immediately brought “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” to mind! I imagined the great perfume bottles having been handed down from a mother to a daughter. And there is a certain sense of old mixed in with the new. A few pieces of special vintage mixed into a modern space with splashes of joyful blue just brings happiness into thought. Like a wedding day, it’s a fresh clean start with beautiful simplicity.
Clutter to come later! ;)
